I believe in Science and I am always against superstitious belief, this also includes the Horoscopes. Today was considered a villain to some of my co-employees who were discussing about their horoscope forecasts.
I think it is a waste of time reading them and it gives false hopes to a person. How about you? Do you believe in these forecasts that are read from the stars?

Hello! I'm not really "gaga" over horoscopes and superstitions, but I find it amusing to read them sometimes. What I like about astrology is how they make me understand personalities according to their birth signs.

hi there! I don't want to think of astrological forecasts taking over my life that way because I too believe that its what we do with our lives that determines what kind of life we're living now and perhaps of the future. Anyway, nothing will keep me from reading on astrology, its a welcome break from the usual serious stuff that I do. Thanks!

I am the exact same way. :) I read horoscopes when I remember to, but most of the time I do not remember to. :) I do think that they are sometimes accurate. I see a person with interesting quirks, and then I find out what their astrological sign is, and read up on the sign and the traits of the sign show up in that person. So, it is interesting, but it may not really mean anything. Interesting topic! :)

Hey there, so do you mean horoscopes are only for entertainment to you. I find it sad that sometimes i meet people who take their horoscope forcast very seriously. Its good that you are entertained with it and not ruled by it. As for me, i see that these astrologists who tell horoscopes for money make it up just to please their clients and make even more money. Coincidences do happen, but it their forecast is accurate as horoscope believers say-it should be applicable to all of the people with same zodiac sign, right? Stars or astrology does not dictate the future, thats why we have our own will to make the events that will happen and nobody can tell that. Future does not exist yet and it will happen spontaeneously.

I don’t think horoscopes are superstition and conmen’s imagination to fool the gullible. Astrology is an ancient science and our forefathers were experts at reading the stars and interpreting them. The problem now is that more and more people are looking towards shortcuts to success and conmen are trapping them with ease. My opinion is that 99.99% of the world’s astrologers are bogus, they are just out to prey on our fears of the future but the remaining 0.01% are genuine. Its difficult to trace them or afford them. They either pursue their passion in seclusion or they pander to the rich and the famous.

well basically a science is factual, and the fact is that stars are orbiting somewhere in the universe because of gravity, what are you going to interpret on that one? Astrology is one of those that we call false sciences in our association called BIOTA, an association of biology reasearchers and teachers. If someone is genuine, then he or she should be 100% accurate in their forecasts. they should not speak riddles and go direct to their point.

I know what you mean I believe that science is believable because it can prove the claims it makes when it comes to breakthroughs and discoveries and I have never been the type of person to believe in superstitions because I think they are a bunch of nonsense to try and scare people, like I have always heard if you open an umbrella in the house you will have bad luck, and one day I was walking trough my parents house with an open umbrella and nothing bad ever happened,I also not not believe much in horoscopes even though I think horoscopes can be correct, and sometimes are believable.

I'm a science teacher and i practice science myself, superstitions evolved from old cultures, most cam from observations of elders who were high ranking in their society, trying to impress their people they usually make things up, like stories legends and other beliefs, of course these are passed and gradually modified to the next generations. Some came from parents who tries to scare children in order to force them to do things. Horoscopes on the other hand originated the same way but of course they have a certain basis, theysay that they decode the stars or other celestial body. most of the time in order to have a forecast they make up a story or whatever. People who still stick to the old world tend to believe them. Well in science there are no forecasts of future event (of course the weather is an exemption, however satelites and other equipments gather data as a basis for this forecasts)unlike astrology, everything has a basis or evidence, Science is for the truth, not fiction.

I do not believe in them. But of course i know what is my zodiac sign and i can admit i do check on my stars sometimes. But i am not doing it religiously, or it just even once in a blue moon. if i occassionally read the newspapers and browse through the entertainment section, but that's just it. i don't rely on them at all.

Yes,i believe in horoscope and superstitions.I think a good horoscope reader can predict your future with out error. Now the main problem is that it is very difficult to find a good reader. Now some people are practicing it with out any knowledge in it.I am from south India and here you can see good astrologers who can predict your future.I think there is something in it,that is lot of people are still believing in it.

hey there, well i'm from the philippines, most superstitions in my country are influences of indian and chinese traders during the early times. I respect your culture, but i have some questions to you, so you believe that what happens to your life are controlled by the movement of the stars or whatever basis of predictions. Do you believe that your life events are linked to a certain celestial body? What is your basis for those beliefs?

There is nothing wrong if you read your horoscope. It is fun to read their forecast especially when there is coincidence in your day to day basis. For me it is not a waste of time because they took their time forecasting it. It is for us to believe it or not.But we should not believe in it completely and depend on it.Somehow we ca be aware of what was happening. When we believe in God we cannot go wrong with just reading our horoscopes.

Well when you believe in God, Horoscopes should not be enetrtained, i'm not very well versed with the bible but i think there is a part there that state pagans and false prophets, Of course they took time to make a story or a forecast of the future, they make money out of it, its their occupation, and those who patronize them are their victims. I am a Science based person, i can argue with anyone and i am willing to prove my stand, what proof can horoscope give? It false hope, hoping for coincidence to happen. It more of entertainment than being a fact. If you really believe in God, why should you let another person con you and forecast your future?
