Do You Trust The Government???

Thus says the Lord: Cursed is man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land that is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but his leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit, Jeremiah 17:5-8. People who do not trust God, only have the government to lean on. These men are mere human beings, just as you and I. God is the only one who can make any real and lasting change in your life and he does not have to consult with anyone before blessing you. He is perfection, he is God Almighty, and there is no one above him. That's the greatest news that I can give you.

That's the way it should be.

Evidently wrong, since I trust neither non-existent deities or governments. I trust myself and those who have earned my respect. If you want to change your life for the better, you need to use your reason and self-discipline to solve your own problems, instead of waiting for a bailout that may never come, whether it be from a boss on Earth or a boss in Heaven.

God has already proven himself to be faithful and true in my life. Why would I trust myself when I can trust the one who created me? He is the only one who knows the end from the beginning.

You'd trust a being whose existence you can't even be certain of, over yourself? Frankly, that's a very sad attitude. If people trusted themselves more and took responsibility for their own lives, the world would be a better place. Political and religious leaders would like us all to think that we're helpless and incompetent, so we'll trust their judgement over our own, but in fact human beings have a lot of untapped potential. Trust your own capacity to reason, you don't need to rely on a boss in Heaven, any more than you need to rely on a boss on Earth.

Speak for yourself. I am very certain of God's existence. He is just as real to me as anyone on this earth. If you do what the Bible tells you to do, you will also be certain of his being real. God is waiting to prove himself to everyone who wants to know him.

I trust God will help the government and I pray that the Government will make the right decisions and the best choices. I voted for Barack Obama and I pray that God will lead him to make the best decisions for this country. If John McCain would have made it I would have also prayed for him.

Here in the Philippines, I don't trust politicians, their consultants and assistants. They are corrupt and very conceited. They only think of their own interest and do not look into considering the nation's status. They have long hours of debate rather on focusing on the real issue which involves the people's sakes. They are arrogant and they brag their position and their connection in the palace. They pay people to vote for them in their next term, in return they also get the people's money. Huh!!disgusting scenario but this is really happening all over the world not just here. ^^?
