My neighbor just had a baby!

I found out a few days ago that my neighbor delivered her baby, but I haven't had a chance to go visit yet. I keep thinking I want to stop over and see the new baby, but I never make a plan to do so.
Well this morning I was getting my kids on the bus, and saw my neighbor's kids leaving for school and decided today would be the day I'd go visit the baby.
I had it all planned out, I was going to wait until my youngest woke up from his morning nap, give him a bath, and then head over.
But my plans have been ruined! Guess what? I have pink eye again!!! Well I can't go visiting a baby when I have pink eye. What a bummer. Hopefully my eye will be better by Thursday so I can see the baby.

I love new babies, they are so tiny arn't they!! It is a shame that you cannot go and visit yet, but I guess it would not really be welcomed with a bad eye. Hopefully though you can get to have a cuddle before it gets much bigger!

I actually got lucky! Yesterday I had an appointment at WIC (government agency that helps babies and pregnant women of low income) and she just happened to be there with her baby. I still had pink eye of course, and I have a bit of a cold as well, but I got to see him from a safe couple feet away. Once I'm feeling better I will visit so I can hold him.

AWWWWWWWWWW...SO SORRY to hear that!!! Is it painful or itchy or just annoying? I've never had pink eye so I don't know about it.
Anyhow, hope you get well SOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN so that you can see the babyyyy!!!

Pink eye can be painful, itching, and irritating. Right now it's really just irritating because I'm taking medicine for it. It's very pink and goopy, and it's constantly tearing up, those are the tell tale signs of the infection. Pain and itching are the other popular symptoms of it. It's also highly contagious!

You're just having a horrible time today. Good luck. Get some rest and take care of that pink eye.
