Which is Better, Ps2 Slim or the Previous Ps2?

I need your help Mylot people. Particularly with individuals who owns PS2. I'm in a brink of purchasing one. Though I couldn't decide whether to get the original thicker one or the newer slimmer model. From what I heard, the slim model easily gets overheat and you might probably need a fan installed in it. I don't know, I'm not really sure. So if you have your experiences regarding this, please do share it with me and I'll use it as a basis for my transaction. Thank you in advance.

I think it depends on your preference. Do you want the bigger one or the smaller one? I bought mine when it first came out ages ago and it's still working perfectly. I've had no problems with it. My brother owns the slim one and he doesn't seem to be having any problems either. I don't really know about the overheating because he doesn't really use it a lot. I personally like my big one because it is the original one and it looks better propped up next to my TV.

first i buy original PS2 (japanese)many games CDs cant read by original one
than i buy slim ps2 (chinese)it read all games CDs but it is true that it heated
i play daily 2-3 hrs it working fine

I recommend the bigger one..that is because of the overheating problem. The playing time for the slim type is very limited..that is way to troublesome for gamers, well for addicts LOL..and also the bigger one is more durable than the slim one..trust me on this
