Hi everyone!
I always pray before going to sleep, after waking up and whenever I have the chance to visit the church. I tell him a lot of things and sometimes asks for favors. But there is one thing that I never forget to pray to him and that is to keep my family safe everyday. Especially my parents to give them long life enough to enjoy each other's company.
What about you guys? How often do you pray? What are the things you pray for? Please do share!

Well in my religion there is praying and making dua'a - a form of prayer except without reading Quran and what not... if you mean prayer as in dua'a - as u said asking for something... then yes i pray for the safety of my family and as well as inner peace and patience to deal with things that i feel at times i can't handle. I also pray that my dearest friends are kept safe and are happy or find happiness...

lol i tried to explain but i guess i failed =P sorry... dua'a is a separate thing from prayer in my religion... how some pray at church like praying as in worshiping... but praying for or asking for things is a different thing ;) Muslims pray 5 times a day and we do ask for better health or whatever is on our mind but dua'a is more specific to asking for something if that makes any sense lol...

I pray mostly for protection of my family and my son. I tell him about things that I am struggling with and ask him to help me with them. I ask him to show me the path that he wants me to take in life and what he wants me to do with my life. I also thank him for sending his son to save us from hell. You don't have to be in church to pray, god wants us to be in constant prayer with him no matter where you are or what you are doing.

Yeah, I agree with you that we don't have to be in a church to pray. Praying can be done wherever we may be. But there are times that I like to pray inside the adoration chapel where the blessed sacrament is. Its a very quiet place and sometimes looking at the blessed sacrament while praying makes me feel God's presence.
Have a blessed day!

I always pray for happiness, grant me with financial security, health and love. These are the major things I would ask every time when I pray. I know God is loving and he will grant our wishes. It is only us the human beings who always forget about him. Nevertheless he still loves us and remember us in many ways.

I often pray to God and I love to say this words "In Your mercy, love and graces we live." That is my prayer whenever I am alone, worrying, have problems and all emotions that I always encounter. This words are my strength in times of sorrow. Well every time I pray also I ask His guidance and help, let my family be save in danger, give us long life and abundance, long life also to my mother and peace to all family members immediate and extended. Peace also to all nations.

when I do pray, I am like just talking to a friend. I tell him everything that happened to my day. Then I seek advice on what to do next. They say try to communicate with God in the easiest way. I do not ask him for anything but for the health of my family members and close ones.

Hi! Like you I seldom ask for things for myself. Though I badly need it, I know God knows it and He will will grant me favors though I don't ask Him for it. I just usually pray for my family's safety.
There was a nun at our school who once told me that if we pray for other people and not for ourselves, we have a greater chance granted favors for things that we need. The nun also said that other's prayers for someone else is much powerful rather than praying for ourselves.

it's good to know that people actually still pray. with all the advancements of today, it's heartwarmimg to know that there are still people who keep their faith.
i am not as devout as i wish i can be, given how busy i am with my life, but i make sure to keep my faith and i pray and talk to God whenever i can. before i sleep, is the longest prayer, i pray for all the people i loce, i pray for all the departed souls, i pray for everything and everyone. i ask for forgiveness all the time, even for the sins i do not even know i've committed. i always also give thanks for every single thing. good and bad. i get to talk to God everywhere, not only when i need His help, but as often as i can, mostly for guidance and protection, or simply just to thank Him for everything.

Hi! It is really great to know that a lot still prays. I think faith is inside of us and its something that no one take away. There may be some who has lost faith but there will come a time they will come back and ask for God's help and guidance.

I always pray before I close my eyes at night and upon opening my eyes in the morning. I thank God for the blessings I receive from Him from day to day. I also ask God for some favors. I always ask Him to guide me in my decisions and I also ask Him to guard and guide me and my family and my loved ones. I think that it is important for us to praise and thank God for all the blessings we receive.

I pray to God at all hours of the day and night. Whenever I feel alone, happy or merely need some comfort or companionship, I speak to Him as if he were in the room with me. I was taught to speak to God as if He were a friend and He would answer prayers. My prayers differ as the days do and I have found that as I grow older they have changed in focus as well.

Well that's nice of you to have the habit of often praying and talking to God. I also treat praying as talking to God. Even though I don't have favors to ask I talk to him. Sometimes I tell of my sad and happy experiences. It's always a nice feeling if I do that.
