I know as children there are many foods we did not like, only ate them because our parents insisted. There are some foods I did not like as a child that I still do not like, and there are others that I did not like as a child, but I like them now.
I did not like cabbage and squash as a kid, but now I love cabbage and squash.
An example of something I did not like and still do not are grits and beets, there are others, but I am glad that I finally acquired the taste of squash and cabbage, because I never knew what I would be missing.

When I was in Kindergarten, I don't like to eat oat.
My mom use to give us as breakfast at that time.
I remember that my mom make the oat and she bring my elder sister to wait for school bus at the guard house.
So I have time to think what to do with the oat meal.
I don't know why I don't like it.
As for now, I like it I guess?
I seldom eat it also. haha..
For what I remember,
My dad's friend is from China.
His daughter grew up with us.
When she is still young at the age of 5 or 6,
She don't like eat beans.
She put it lining on the table in a row.
As it a train way. haha..
*KIDS*
For now, I don't really enjoy the lard.
Is oily so when I eat pork.
I will choose to eat the meat part.
The fats part when gets into my mouth,
I will take a tissue as an excuse to wipe my mouth,
I'll throw it out into the tissue. haha..
I'm bad..haha

No, yo are not bad we are entitled to our likes and dislikes. That is why children play with their food, because they do not like what they are eating.

when I was young, I grew up a vegitarian so we ate alot of things I that other people did not. Kids thought I was strange because I would eat spinach. I never ate meat until I was 27 and that was because I married a meat and potatoes man. My life and taste buds are finally satisfied. Now I will eat and try anything and love every minute of trying new things.

I did not like cheese at all as a kid. Grilled cheese was the grossest idea in the world to me. Now I eat grilled cheese at least once a week. It's amazing how your taste buds change. Some things, of course, are still foul to me, like asparagus and brussel sprouts.

Oh yeah, brussel sprouts and asparagus, how could I forget them. It is surprising, I thought all kids liked cheese. Enjoy your grilled cheese sandwiches.

Oh yes, there are alot more things I eat now that I wouldn't eat as a child. It makes me realize I was a rather picky eater - something I didn't realize at the time. I didn't like broccoli, and love it now. I wasn't a big fan of salads and could live off of a well stocked salad bar now. I see the same thing with my grandaughters, who unfortunately my son and his ex are spoiling rotten. They cook separate meals specifically for each girl because they are so picky. And its sad to say but its rarely very healthy. I've talked until I'm blue in the face and the parents don't realize the harm in what they are doing. I know I NEVER cooked separate meals for my son. He ate what I fixed, or did without. I'm hoping when I move closer soon I can teach my son a few healthy, kid-friendly meals to prepare instead of the usual spagettios and chicken nugget meals.

Yeah, my mother did not cook separate meals either, it was what it was, and we had to eat it.

Yes, I would never eats beets as a child. I did not care what you do I would never eat them. I become severly anemic and was told that the beets would help me. I was very unwilling to eat them but decided that my health was more important. I ate those beets and they are delicious and I have eating them ever since.

Hi sudalunts. Yes it happened with me too. When I was a child I didn't like cabbage, green beans, liver, eggs and some more things. Now I love all this. To say the true I like all the foods. But I must say that it was my mother's fault because she never cooked what she didn't liked and when she did she always said after put the food in the table " I do this because of you kids but I hate it. It isn't tasty". So how we would eat? Can you imagine it? LOL. Now when I remember this I laugh about it. What a wrong way to raise kids!

I definatly eat things now that I wouldn't have touched with a 10 foot pole as a child. For example, I hated brocoli but now its my favorite vegetable. I also think that t.v. makes it harder to get kids to eat vegetables because on all the kids shows you see parents trying to get the kids to eat them. SO kids think thats what their supposed to think. Oh well.

I used not to eat any veggies as a kid. It was only when I reached my 20's that I learned how to eat veggies, but not all. I try to eat veggies at small pieces first and if I liked it, I will eat it again the next time. Some veggies really looks and tastes awful and I can't really take them then. Thankfully, I was able to overcome this and learned to eat veggies which some are my favorite nowadays.

Yeah, sometimes you have to acquire a taste for certain vegetables. Some of them I can not stomach either, regardless how many times I try them.

When I was a little kid, I despise carrot, but now I love eating carrot and think that is delicious.
And onion, I hated it when I was a kid, could not smell it, now I can have some cooked onion, and still hate the raw ones.

I actually don't eat most things that I didn't eat as a child. I still don't eat seafood (except crumbed fish) and I am very picky with veges. I do love salad though and I don't make my kids eat things they don't like the taste of. If they eat healthy it doesn't matter that they don't like everything. We are all ndividuals with differnt tastes.

Yes you are right my dear there are foods we didn't even eat and in fact hated to eat when we were young that we now love to eat. I agree with. I used to hate vegetables. The only veggie I could eat was eggplant. My mom would cut the eggplant in half and would fry. Then I'd eat it with soy sauce and calamanci dip and fried fish. I love this combination but I never liked other veggies. But now that I'm old enough to know the benefits and wonders of veggies, I think I will not last a day without eating vegetables. Any vegetables will do for as long as it is fresh! I've actually become vegetarian and just the mere thought of vegetables makes me crave.

As a child, I hated vegetables especially aubergines, bitter gourd and cabbage. It's different now; I enjoy these vegetables, and have them with my meat dishes frequently.
