The Americans has already landed men on the moon in several apollo missions and have even taken vast quantities of samples for analysis back to earth . So i dont see any immediate need to sent further missions to the moon, i feel its simply a show, rather than a need . So Indians got the technology now and it happened so because indians were waiting all this while to get the technology from else where, when they refused india started spending on research, and sure they did it. Similarly indians are waiting to get technology, cheap without any hard work . India had in the past produced several nobel laurates in the past, now it has not happened in recent years since, no focus is given to research and inventions, only copying the hard work of foreign inventions is taking place . Please comment on this sorry plight in recent years

its true others have landed in moon decades back. but no one shares the knowledge with you on what they found and how it can be harnesses for our benefit. each country has its own vision about moon. so is india and its scientific community. not every detail is shared with public. a billion dollar spent on these projects is still small money spent. it is better than writing away bad loans. you said several noble laureats. do you know how many. its still less than the number of fingers on your hands. this mission is not to earn any nobel prizes. its to prove our capabilities, even if we have to buy some of it. it shows we are willing to take risk and lose a few thousand crores of money. that is good attitude. i like it

If you think like that let it be so , I mentioned Nobel laureates , just to tell about how serious we are about excellence. There are too many patriots out there , that's why no body wants to excell any more, since by achieving very little there is a great aplause. There every hard effort ends. I think that bad loans should not be written off, that is a very big mistake. so bad loans are also encouraged. There also excellence is ridiculed .
