I have a 5 year old granddaughter.I call her princess. My granddaughter and i love to spend time together. We use to have alot more time but now that she started school this year its not as much. The thing is i can have her anytime that i want her but i cannot have her overnight. Her mother who is a wonderfull person will not allow her to sleep out.Her and my son are together and we all love each other dearly. My granddaughter cannot sleep out anywhere, her mother said she would not be able to sleep if her daughter was not in the house.I would love for her to spend a night and get treats and watch movies. When she is here,we do nails, hair and make-up.We also do alot of crafts.Did you as a parent let the grandparents have your child for a night once in awhile,or were you like my sons partner and not allow it?

My oldest use to stay with his grandparents alot when he was younger. But he was first grandson. So he was spoiled rotten. Than I moved out of state nearer my husbands parents. They have never watched my children over night. but than again I can say after 4 years they have never watched them at all. Not because I would not allow them. But because they have clearly stated they have riased their two kids and they are done. They suck as grandparents.

I can't believe grandparents would not want to enjoy at least one night a week with the grandchildren. My mother would babysit for me when mine were young if she had no other plans. If i wanted to do something in the evening,it was a time that was convenient for her.She helped anyway she could.

we lived across the street from them til two weeks ago when we started moving. The grandparents wouldn't even say hello to them when the walked their dog. Or acknowledge their birthday. But they both sure would come on over to get the food we cooked on the grill for the kids birthday. But now they don't know where we moved. At least not yet.
