I am a mother of three at age 30. My youngest child is 5. I couldn't imagine having another baby right now, but i still hear of these parents who are 48 years old and just having a new born baby. I just don't see how a parent that old thinks they will be able to play with their child and take them to all the sporting events and make sure they are at practice everyday and run them here and there. It absolutely wears me out right now. I couldn't imagine being much older starting all over with a brand new baby. How old is really too old?

Well as a rule I think people who wait to that age are usually in great health, have all their ducks in a row so to speak, and know what they want. I say go for it. We have friends who had their last child at 42 and I have to tell that they are way more active than my husband and I are and we had children in our 20's. So let them be.
As far is how old is to old- that is between the parents and their doctors. I wish all parents well and hope their dreams come true.
