OK, another scintillating myLot topic...
I haven't personally seen this one before, so here goes!
When you reply to somebody else's discussion, do you always go back to see if there was a comment to your reply?
I've seen discussions about whether you comment to everybody's reply on your own discussions, but I've never seen this one asked (which probably means it's been done 300 million times already lol).

I always go back, I like having indepth discussions with people, even though most times it does tend to go off topic! I will keep a discussion with someone going for as long as I can either continue to respond, or they continue to respond. I know it sounds bad but I like commenting on discussions. i guess that is why after 2 years I still haven't hit 500 posts lol. I do make a bit of money though, and make a lot of great friends!!!

I go back to most of them, but some of them that are really simple, I don't always go back to. Like there was one today (no offense to whoever posted it) about whether I liked Yahoo or MSN Messenger better. I'll try to get back to it if I can, but the other ones that I've replied to are more priority (more interesting topics and/or the people who posted them often come back with really interesting replies).

I know that feeling too, most of the time I don't respond to those kind of discussions as I don't like to post one line, or if I know that the orginal poster won't respond. I will sometimes just for the sake of adding my 2 cents in. I prefer to have like I said in depth conversations with people. Just take a look at previous posts that I have made hehehehe.

I go back if I made a particularly scintillating reply, such as:
"I bid you farewell.
And happy eating.
Your time on myLot.
Was fun but fleeting."
And then I am depressed when nobody recognized my genius! ;)

Yes, I end up doing this as I am browsing another discussion to respond to. When I see the topic that I recognized responding to, this is when I will go and see what the response was. But sometimes, my name may be the last person to respond to it. From there, I will go to another discussion and this one will slip my mind..

Yes, but I'm usually alerted through my e-mail. I love comments on my responses and I especially love them if they turn into an actual conversation that goes back and forth for awhile. Especially if any humor is involved. Or in my case, attempted humor.
Oh, Dawn, we can always count on you for good discussions!

I try to, but as I've pointed out in my own new discussion, it is difficult unless it is a discussion started by a friend, because the topic gets harder to find with each succeeding day. That said, once I've looked through all the interesting stuff and start scraping the barrel for discussions to respond to, I often get involved in things that I really can't be bothered with, so I don't go back. Especially not when it's so difficult and time-consuming unless a friend started the topic.

Yes, I go back and have a look if it was really interesting. The plain one liner ones I usually do not. I think getting into a good discussion is great and makes it seem worth while. Yeah I like to take a look back on the good ones, and check my comment for replys.

I don't remember going back and check the comments on my comments to some other discussion. It is time consuming .Instead I spend time here trying to find out new friends who make interesting discussion.Or else I start a discussion myself. And try to to make it interesting too.

If there is a comment for my reply, I have notification on my email about the reply.
It is much easier than going back and check every reply.

I usually will go back to check to see if a comment was left to my repsonse. I am always interested to see what the poster may have to say about what I said. I have responded to quite a few posts, where there is no comment from the poster to the respondents. My thought is why post, if you are not going to participate in the discussion after you have posted it.

I think we will get notification if someone add comment to our response. I will check my discussions for comments which I didn't get any notification. But If it was response, then surely we will get a notification mail to our mail address provided that we haven't disabled it in our preferences. I will always check my mail for new responses to my discussions and new comments on my responses. If I can give any more comments, then I will add it. Thank you.

I did disable it because I can't keep up with the e-mails. But I hear from other myLotters that they don't always get their notifications. Still if you can keep on top of them, I'm sure it's a big help, and a lot better than my rotten system. lol

I dont go back unless I get an email stating I have a response or comment. I mean if the topic really interests me I will go back and respond to other comments, but I dont feel the need to go back all the time. Although the more you do, the more you will make :-) I am kind of new here, so I am trying to get used to it all. I bet once I get settled in I will go back and comment everyone lol. Take care, happy mylotting

I don't know if you make more the more you go back. Lots of folks are saying that comments back on responses don't get paid. I don't know if that's true or not.

I have all replies to my commenst go to my email. so, I get an email for each reply. That way I can keep a conversation going if I feel I have more words to add to the reply. Sometimes I do, other times I don't.

Most of the time but not always. If I have spent a significant amount of time and thought on my answer then yes. But if it is just a simple question that I have answered or not to heartfelt, or interesting then I won't bother. I would say I go back to view 8 out of 10 answers. Maybe even less if I don't have enough time on a particluar day.

I only do this once in a while. I just do not have enough hours in a day to keep going back to everywhere i already was.. I have been to several discussions.
If it is a topic that I really want to see the answers then I will try to remember!

I personally try to always go back but on some days I respond to fifty or more posts so sometimes it is hard to go back to all of them. Then there are the ones that kinda upset me or strike my fancy in one way or another and I make it a point to always go back to those. Like for some reason I have been really aggrivated about some of the things people have been saying about smokers and I have said my piece and tried to walk away from it but just can't so there are times yes that I stear clear of going back to them but I try to do my best to get back to them.

I just can't keep up with the e-mails. Then again using the discussion tabs isn't exactly foolproof either.
