responding to discussions

Maybe I am having a Blond moment, but I can't find the spot to respond to people we respond to me!!!! HELP! I just signed on and nothing is finished, but I started a discussion, got a response, but all I can seem to do is re-read mine or "see" that persons profile (I think. My friend told me there should be a button to click at the end in order to do this, but I can't find it!!! So if I go to my discussions started where is that button?????
