I do have a list. :) Some you may consider as a love song but I just thought that it still suits my feelings for my kiddos. Here's my list - Butterfly Kisses (gosh, makes me teary-eyed hearing this song), The Prayer, Martina mcBride's In my Daughter's eyes, Tori Amos' Ribbons Undone, Aerosmith's I dont wanna miss a thing.. just to name a few. What about you? Do you mind sharing them?

that is soooo sweet...my kids and i share a theme song too...eternal flame by the bangles....everytime my kids hear our song, even now that they're 14 & 12, they'd always say mom that's our song. and they also tell their friends about this. they both even have it in their ipods and listen to it to relax them or whenever they miss me. amazingly, they also sing the song to my one year old whenever they help in putting her to sleep. it's just so heartwarming isn't it???

Well, what I did was make up songs for each child except the first son. The first son inherited a song that my mother sang to me. I now sing that song to my son's first daughter. It's just a simple song. I will type the words using my own name. Dear little cynthia-ann she's her mummy's precious lamb she's her Daddy's precious love She came al the way from heaven above. She's her mummy's little sweetheart her Daddy's precious lamb She's colleen and Gill's little sister and her name is cynthia ann. My mother was deaf but she used to sing this to me and I can hear her voice now. Oh gosh, I now also feel stupid posting this. Have a good laugh everyone!

I love Butterfly Kisses and In My Daughters Eye. I dont really think of these as songs for my child though. The one song that my I sang to my children every night was I See The Moon. Now that they are teenagers, we can be out in the car in the evening and one of them will start singing that song:)

Butterfly kisses is a beautiful song as for ones for my son, that's hard to say, right now I think of nursery rhymes and such. but you got me thinking and if I hear one that reminds me of him then I'll try to remember that, there is one, "you'll be in my heart" by Phil collins it was from Tarzan, really really good song about the love of an adopted mother *even if she's a gorilla* and son. My son isn't adopted but hes always in my heart no matter where he is. Aslo "We are one" I don't know by who but it's from the lion king 2 and it's about basically being one, and a part of each other. A good and beautiful son that I learned by heart and can sing whenever I want. hehe. so hopefully I'll think of more sometime! Good topic! :3

Yes, I called my daughter Eboney after the song 'Eboney eyes'. Only because she had big brown eyes when she was born. I love Robbie Williams 'Angels' it always makes me think of my children and if anything where to happen to them. I also think Aerosmiths song reminds you about your children too. They do grow up so fast though and we should not miss a moment with them in there important things they do.
