At last, John McCain already conceded to THE ONE -- Barack Obama is now the 44th USA President replacing the most unpopular George Bush. After two years of grueling campaign, finally the Great Dream finally came! May the whole America help him!

It will definitely a very SAD for the followers and believers of the old John McCain and his Tina Fey VP pick (an adorable doll by the way). BUT (and this is a BIG BUT) for the majority of the voters who cast their votes last Tuesday, IT IS A VERY HAPPY DAY!!!!!! More people are happy than sad. if you belong to the sad group...cheer up...there will be another election in 2012 and you can ask Sarah Palin to run again...that time for the President of the USA. I am sure she will win by that time then. As for me, I am so happy.

irishidid, I wish I could agree with you but with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid Pulling the puppet strings, Obama does not have to be moderate. Any one who opposes him will just be accused of racism and get the Joe the Plumber treatment. And tombiz, Don't take this the wrong way but, you don't even live here.

I'm willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt. He's definitely going to have to take a more moderate stance to be successful.

Two men ran for president. Both were human. Neither one was greater than the other. They are Americans. History was made on both sides and kudos to all of the candidates. Congratulations to both Obama and Palin for being a part of history.

Yes, you certainly has the right attitude towards the result of this election. The people had already spoken -- Barack Obama won both the Electoral College and the majority of the votes casted. And I think anybody in his/her right mind should respect that...even if you are not for Obama... Only one will eventually win the race. Congratulations to Obama-Biden and they did it. had it been McCain-Palin then we will congratulate them as well...even though I am for Obama-Biden. I AM SURE IT IS A HAPPY DAY FOR THE USA!!!!!!!!!!

Wow is that really confirmed? Well I hope that The whole of America would finally respect the majority votes. For us out of US we are watching and observing what would happen in the coming days as we look forward how Americans would react withthe change happening in a very short time.

Although I am not an American, I was also hoping for Obama to win and it happened, I am happy for Obama and for all the American people and people from around the world for whom Obama will hopefully play a role in buiding a safer world.

I'm so relieved, yet I'm so not because I really have to pee right now. I don't think my utter joy has kicked in yet.

Yes it is good that he has been elected. I just hope that we do not set him up to fail by making the task goal we want him to achieve as being impossible to achieve. That is my biggest fear that we have pinned too many hopes to him and expect too much of him that we will be disappointed when if it goes wrong. I am not saying it will go wrong, I hope it won't, but if we ask for miracles and we do not get them then we may be disappointed.

I did not want him but I will support him now that he has won the office. I don't think he's a bad man, but I'm afraid of what will happen to this country with his Marxist ideas (spread the wealth around from rich to poor) and socialist health care plans--but then, I'm not sure about the health care since he always refused to be specific about anything, on this issue or anything else. That's what scared me and still does--he talked a lot but never really said anything. Now maybe we'll find out what his plans are.
