I have noticed few mylotters here who just post in terms of new discussions. they do not bother to reply to the discussions others started. they think that posting new discussion give more money and they do so. Do you answer to discussions of this type of user? I reply sometimes but not always. Are they too selfish?

You raise a good question Subha. I am a discussion starter mostly. Although at the time of writing I have over 3,300 responses so I must reply to a few too. Personally one of the reasons that I don't respond to many is that I just don't see discussions that appeal to me. I'm not interested in pets especially, money making leaves me cold and the ratings system is beyond contempt. So that reduces the field a little. Therefore I tend to put discussions up instead. Generally speaking I have quite good responses and that encourages me to post more. I see it as just a different way to exist on this board. I don't think that I am selfish, after all if nobody posted who would there be to respond to?

I think everyone here would only want to post responses to discussions of their interest. That is why I do not bother about who replies to my discusions. Finally they will earn for replying and not me. And if I do not reply to others discussions it is I who will be loosing something and not the person who has posted the discussion. I too only post responses to discussions of my interest from the notifications that I receive. Many a times I do not get the notification and only if I happen to see the disucssion somewhere would I be able to reply.

Yes, same here! I reply sometimes if their topic is really very interesting but if not I skip them. I have few friends in my lists who do that. They post and post and post and they don't mind who are those replying to their posts because as I could see they don't even care to return the favor. I don't always post new topic but I noticed those who do not know how to support despite the fact that I've been supporting them. With that kind of friend, the best thing I did is to turn off my notifications. I'm bored with so many posts they started. Now my mailbox is lighter and only those sensible topics coming from my sensible and supportive friends are there. Instead of replying to those who just post and post new topics, when I have free time, I look around other interesting topics from other users who are more sensibly spending their time around.

when they are in my friends list I always respond to them but now I do change my mine as well for they are enjoying to post their own discussion and never get back any of my own discussion as well so for the last week term of chores that I do here in Mylot I only give response to those friends of mine who do also responses from mine and if they are not on my friends list I will take one of their discussion and made my response directly..I felt sorry to do this way but this fair enough for me....

it is good to start a discussion and when both reply to it. i mean thats what discussion really mean. i enjoy replying to a discussions and i like when people reply to my discussions. mylot is very friendly place, its been two weeks and im enjoying mylot, i think he/she may be busy and reply later and if somebody is more interested in making money and doesnt bother in replying back or think if they just by posting more discussion and they will earn lot.well i guess they dont know how to enjoy and earn, they wont stick for long. so dont let them bother you. enjoy.. happylotting.

I reply to any discussions if I can. I don't think they are selfish. Maybe they are here for the money or perhaps just like to post discussions. Anyway, are we obliged to make responses to discussions?

It is just reverse for me. I don't like to put up new discussions myself, instead, I like to reply to the other's discussions as I get more variety this way.

Hi Subha, Each to their own if that is how they feel that they make the best money, to me myLot is more than that it is the interaction and making of good friendships that matter far more. I have been a lot less active myself recently and have posted a few discussions but have been trying to catch up with responding to others as much as I can unless I have something I really want to post about. I have some who post so many in a day it makes my inbox full and have had to turn notifications off for a while because of this. They probably don't really they are being selfish and see myLot as somewhere to make money rather than friends. I am lucky in that I have been blessed already in meeting two people from here and am in phone contact with others which is fantastic. Huggles. Ellie :D

I think that is not a good habit especially when people post just for the sake of earning and not for the sake of having a real discussion. Then we will be getting lots of those junk posts and a few liner posts that do not really attract anybody to respond. As whether I will respond to these kind of discussions, to be honest, sometimes I would not be able to tell whether they are one of those bad ones or they are really genuine discussions. So, I just go by my interest. If the discussion is interesting, then I would respond and if not, I would just move on to the next one. Are they selfish. I think they are not selfish but they are greedy! The must have thought that they could earn really fast by doing that and they must have thought that myLot is stupid enough to just let them have the money with little effort. If myLot did not catch them, karma will! Cheers!

It's good to start discussions and both reply. It's pretty selfish if you ONLY start discussions for the money. That's not being a community. I only reply sometimes, like you do.

I think it is partially selfish since they are submitting something but more irresponsible. I believe everyone should comment back to there discussions and answer others that are of interest. Lots of luck and I appreciate the discussion, I just hope I'm not perceived like this.

Personally I have wondered this one as well. Because isn't this part of the Fun in posting back to others discussions here, and being able to also go back into the discussions you have started here and see what others have Wrote and be able to go back and respond to all of these as well? Actually I probably have a couple I have added to my friends list that are like this, but in the end I usually end up removing them for reasons such as this as well.

I think that there are a lot of mylotters who tend to just post the discussion in order to earn more. I campletely agree that it is really selfish to just post and not respond. I try and avoid such discussions. I try and respond a lot more than the number of discussions posted.

hi ya i agree to that, even i am guilty.but more than being greedy it was due to ignorance of the rules here.when we are new to the site we dont know a damn thing as understanding this site takes a fair amount of time.so most of us just raise a discussion and then wait n watch policy.if the discussion gets responses we explore more otherwise some people just leave.

Hello subha, There are all kinds of people there, including the kind you mentioned. I am sure they are not aware of the rules hence they just keep on starting discussions, without even bothering to search if a similar discussion already exists. I am sure their repeated discussions would get deleted in due course of time and then they would realize the correct way of earning money here.

Hello Subha, I am also a newbie here in mylot. But start from my very first post, i always try my best to post my best thinking of that topic. And when i start a new discussion, i reply to all my posters. I think that's fair for all of us. I agree one of the lottor's opioion, we can not contorl others, but we can contorl ourselves, i think the good people alway win respect from other people. Stay in mylot is a long term relationship, i am not here just to make money, i am here to learn and grow. Thanks for this topic so that i can share my idea. Oh, by the way, what are all those stars means? I saw my start start from 5, 6, to 7, 8, is it 10 is the most? There also some colors with the star, what does that mean?
