some of the wedding gifts i have received were used immediately, such as the electric fan and one coffee maker.
i will be selling some of the gifts but here is what i will be saving:
1. home decors
2. a rechargeable electric fan
3. serving dishes
4. chinaware
5. a juicer
6. a blender
7. a non-stick iron
8. towels
9. turbo broiler
all the rest will be sold cheaply to make way for closet space and also to save some money for the coming baby. i think it is the most practical thing to do rather than keep all 5 oven toasters and 2 rice cookers and let them rot without using them.
don't you think?
take care all and God bless you! :-D

hi there :-)
i think that's the best thing to do, sell them.
when we got married, we specified in our invitations that cash gifts would be greatly appreciated. a lot of our guests told us that it was better that way. some said that it saved them a lot of time because they did not have to go out and buy things that they are not sure we would like--or need. i didn't hear any negative feedback, i am sure that there must be others who didn't understand, but we were just being practical. my husband has two married sisters, i have one married brother and they all had problems with their extra rice cookers and electric fans.
it's great that you have thought of selling them, friend. i am sure those who gave them--who are true friends--would understand.
take care!
