I am so glad it's over. Now that the election is over what will all of you bashers post about? Will you gloat? Will you pout, or will you quit posting all together because you have done nothing but use the candidates and now you have no more material?
Will you FINALLY start posting in the other interests now? Please?

Every day something happens in politics. Why stop discussing just because the election is over?

Well, over the next month you will read about how great/terrible it is that Obama won. You'll also read about Mylotters' opinions about why he won or why others lost.
You will also read about how the Electoral College system is screwed up/necessary and Mylotters' ideas about how they will replace it.
There will probably be more discussions about the new Congress and what role it will play in the next 4-8 years.
My guess is we will also read examples of campaign promises Obama breaks as he prepares his administration.
See, plenty to read and write about. :~D

He talked the talk - now can he walk the walk - that will be the big question.

I guess we'll all have to find a life! I didn't get into many political discussions so you're not really talking to me. Sen. Obama is not the man I chose but he is my president-elect so he'll have my support and respect if he earns it. I believe that he's a good man with a few good ideas but a lot that scare me. I hope that he will prove to be a good president.
I've been disgusted for quite sometime with all the old men in Washington. Now I have my wish and I felt like complaining?! Man, I just can't be pleased!!

Yes the election season is finally over. Thank goodness! Hopefully we can now begin to heal and reunite our nation, goodness knows we need to. I hope that Obama is able to begin to fix the problems facing our nation and help to return our good standing with the rest of the world.
On the other hand, it would be a shame after all the interest that was generated in politics and our government during our presidential campaign season simply disappeared now that the election is over. It is important that the interest lasts and we do pay attention to what is happening. If we don't how can we let our leaders know what we want in regards to the bills, laws, and problems facing our nation?

Why should I stop participating? It'll be interesting to see what happens and how strong Obama's support will be at the end of his term. His supporters expect a lot from him. Will he deliver? Will he deliver what they expected? Time will tell, and yes, I'll be around to discuss it. Like it or not.

And yes, I'm glad it's over. I was really getting tired of having to watch the same political commercial twice each commercial break. And I can enjoy quiet in my home because the phone isn't robo-called by somebody begging for our votes;)

Hey dizz! I sure hope that they will soon find something
else to discuss! I wonder how much longer it will take
for them to stop whining about the election. Let's see
how many more days it will take! So far it isn't stoping!
I hope that they will finally come up with some other
topics and if they can't the just respond or go away!

Politics is a 24/7, 365 thing. There are bills that congress is going to vote on, there are policies that will be discussed. I am sure over the next month all of Obamas appointments to his staff will be discussed. For those of us that are always on the politics board even when it is not an election year, nothing will change. Some of the craziness in here will calm down. Some of the people will go on to other topics. But some of us are here to stay. There is still so much to discuss and digg deeper into when it comes to our government and its policies.

Well I for one am glad the election is over, I live in the UK and it's like all we've heard on the news is about the US elections, I know the US is a big and important country but enough already LOL! Hopefully we can hear about something else for a change! Yey to people posting in other interests! x

I was thoroughly involved in the election, followed it closely, but am ready to get on with it now too. I will be following the progress made now.
I won't post in politics here. I understand that it may be a strong interest for others here, but debating is not something I enjoy.
Some may consider it being a dilettante, but I like the lighter discussions and like to chat. And that's the good thing about myLot hopefully something for everyone huh.

I don't care about politics so I didn't post anything about it nor did I respond to any posts about it. I am sure glad they are over though now my shows will be back on tv. There was nothing on tv last night at all but that boring election coverage!
