Will you be doing most of your Christmas shopping in malls or online?

Almost since it started I have done all of my Christmas shopping online. I hate the lines and rude people that have to be dealt with especially around the holidays so it's much better that I stay away from the malls. Last year I had to go to a Mall because I wanted to get my granddaughters picture taken with Santa and the short time I was there I had a run in with a very rude and ignorant woman and that just proved my point to me. She ruined what started out as a wonderful evening for us.
A lot of people are afraid to give their information online but in all these years I haven't had one problem with identity theft or anything like that. I don't know if it's because I use a Debit card and not a credit card that makes the difference or not but it's always been a breeze for me.
Will you be doing any Christmas shopping online or braving the stores?

I prefer doing the Christmas shopping in the malls cause most of the time things seen online are more or less different when they arrive. Well, atleat that's how things worked out for me. So I rather go to the mall, never mind the long line.

I'll be shopping in the malls of course! It's funny because I've answered this exact same question before but I just can't find it anymore. I would have wanted to just copy an paste my answer here. Oh well. Shopping online has its benefits, but I'm not doing anything anyway. And I live in the Philippines, so delivery is limited. The mall on the other hand, has a lot of promos and Christmas discounts that I really look forward to. :)

I try to do most of my shopping online. It's just easier. But last year I had a bunch of problems with items getting here late (despite that I ordered them in November or earlier!). So this year I have ended up doing a bit more shopping in stores and at the mall than usual. It also helps that they finally built some stores near us so I can just go in and grab things easily. But mostly I hate the mall, except that they do sometimes have really good deals.
Debit cards are actually supposed to be more dangerous than credit cards for shopping online. But I think shopping online is safer than shopping in the store. In the store the clerk could steal your credit card number. I don't like people handling my credit card, I'd rather it be done by computer myself. Therefore, internet shopping is best for me.

Your story is so typical of why a lot of people just hate shopping at this time of the year! I hate it, I hate the hustle and bustle and the stress and the mither that comes with it, last year I did all mine online. This year we have had a new shop open in our town that sells absolutely everything for really decent prices and so I have been lucky and done all my shopping there under the one roof! I have done a bit of online shopping for a few special little gifts I wanted but that is about it, so far christmas shopping this year has been a doddle!

I would rather shop in the mall than online for some reasons. But i do understand why people wanted to just shop online because they wanna avoid the hazzles and its time consuming also in the mall. As for me i always rather wanna see the things in real that im going to buy. I always like to buy things and hold or see it first in real and not just in picture so atleast that you have the right thing that you want and you dont have any regrets afterwards. And besides i can have it in my have immediately after i pay for it so i dont have the time to think when things or delivery arrive in my door.

I will probably end up shopping in the malls or stores in and around our home. I have orderd items online before but I think I'll be shopping at the place I work as I get discounts and coupons that can't be used online.

Though I enjoy online shopping, I don't like to pay for shipping. I only shop online if I am extremely bored, get a really great deal or I can't find what I am looking for anywhere else.
Most of my shopping is done now though thankfully!

For me definetly online. Being 8 months pregnant, I think this is going to be easier than all the walking. Let alone facing the hassles of the crowds. Next year I will go back to 1/2 and 1/2. I will still go with my daughter for her Santa picture. It is tradition.

I do a lot of my shopping online. I like the idea of being able to research an item out more online than in a store and as you mentioned I don't feel rushed due to the crowds. I do howerver go shopping on "Black Friday". Sometimes you can find some really good bargains on thatday. Also I think it is a "hoot" to watch people on this particular day.
I have never had any problem with giving my information online but I try to stick with well trusted sites and I monitor my statements very closely too. I use paypal for most of my online purchases which makes it easier to monitor what's going on with my order too. Shipping has increased but I still find some awesome buys online!
Happy Holiday Shopping!

Definitely malls! I love going to the malls. Maybe not the elbowing other customers because it is too crowded part but I do love going to stores, browsing through items, trying things on. Online shopping cannot beat that. I would resort only to online shopping for hard to find items.

i do all of my shopping all year round and have gotten some great deals. also this year, i have made some extra money both on mylot and on ebay and have bought a bunch of christmas presents on ebay for christmas. so i have done both.
however, i dont go to the mall just because it is very expensive to shop there. i would rather shop at walmart and outlet malls.

I prefer the traditional window shopping when it comes to christmas shopping, I would go to baizzars and I can still haggle the prices of the itmes i want.. It's a good feeling when the seller agrees to the price that i want:) Bargaining is a woman's best friend lol :)

I will probaly do any Christmas shopping at Walmart. The price of shipping and handling has gone up to high to order online except Walmart when they have their .97 cent shipping on their toys at the holidays that is always nice. Hope you have happy holidays and a wonderful new year.

So far this year i have done most of my Christmas shopping online but that's only because i have been saving up Amazon vouchers all year so everything i have brought online has not cost me anything yet.
I much prefer to do it online as it is so much easier. I do not like the crowds at this time of year and it is a nightmare when you have a toddler in a pushchair.
But i do enjoy the festive feeling in the air when shopping in the high street. That would be one thing i missed if i done all my shopping online.
