I always sit in the front unless the teacher moves me to the back so that a kid who is struggling in the course can take my seat. By voluntarily sitting in the front, I feel, gives the teacher a better impression of you. Plus, I'm just really into getting good marks. =P

I liked to sit front and center in college. That way I wouldn't get distracted by any thing going on in class. I had to pay attention to the teachers. Also |I could hear better and see the board better. I wanted perfect marks and got them most of the time.

When I was a student, I always liked to sit in the back as it was a "safe" seat because I guessed the teacher seldom questioned the students who sat in the back seats. Besides, I might get less attention from the teacher and I felt good to it.

i always sit in the front because i wanted to keep focused on the discussion plus i don't want my classmates to chit-chat with me while the instructor is discussing.. some students who sit at the back tend to be noisy and unattentive..

I always used to sit at the back of the classroom! I always felt that I had some privacy there! I was quite a quiet child and now that I have entered adulthood, I am a quiet adult! Things have changed slightly today though. Whenever I have attended a course recently I would normally sit at the front or two rows back from the front. I guess when you have to pay out money for courses you take the whole thing a little more seriously! I'm glad that school is over but, I do like to study I have to say. Andrew

I love to sit at last benches. But in my college have one rule that is every one should sit their roll numbers wise. My roll number is 3. So, I always sit in the first bench. I observe one thing so many teachers mostly concentrate on last bench students. I think there is no problem with first bench. Happy to sharing.

I love to sit to the front so that I can see the board more closely.. I sometimes, liked to sit to the back, away from others.. I liked the secluded feeling when I am in class. I don't why I have been always like that. I love to sit in the middle.. I like to sit to myself.. Where I have my own personal spot..

In my elementary and high school, I really like to seat at the front, for me to be able to see clearly the lessons in the blackboard and hear clearly the teachers. However, when I was in college, I'll sit wherever I want to and depends to the class, if I want it or not. If I really like the class and how the professor teach, I'll sit at the front but if I don't like the class and kinda boring too, I'll sit at the back with my friends so that we can talk while lecturing.

Well when I was in my elementary and high school days I am always in front due to the reason that I am short and I have poor eyes. I am not as good as you're thinking, because there were times that the teacher caught me drawing and not listening to her. Anyway, I always listen it's just that my hands has to do something else. I was happy on my college days because we can sit anywhere we like. If I don't/can't understand the lesson very well I sit in the front row. But if I have to meet deadlines for some projects or have an unfinished homework I will definitely sit at the back. But for students I advice sitting in front is the best. =)

Hi vimaal! Nice question. As far as I remember, I always sit in front. I usually sit in front because I want to listen thoroughly, especially if it is my favorite subject. I also don't want to have someone in front of me because he/she blocks my view to the blackboard. If the subject is not my favorite, anywhere will do except the front.

Hi vimal.I neither use to sit in thr front nor at the back.I always use to sit at the middle benches.I dont like to sit in front because we always have to concentrate and teachers eye is on us.If we move a little bit also they come to know. And the problem at the back is that teachers think the students at last benches are most mischievous students in class. So whenever something wrong happens teacher blames the last bench students. In our college we call the last bench students as LLB i.e Lords of Last Benches.
Hence i think the safest place is the middle benches.Because i cant sit the whole lecture without talking .And im very mischievous. So even if i sit in the middle benches teachers ask me if im laughing because they keep an eye on me.Actully i always rank in first three so they dont punish me.so its good for me. i can enjoy and i dont get punishment also.
keep smiling and enjoy life.
Happy mylotting.

hello vimaal,
When I was in grade school, our teacher was the one assigning where everyone seat. Like if you are the brightest and smartest you will go to row 1, not that much to row 2 and so on. So if you're in the highest row that means you need to study really really hard so you'll be transferred until such time you're already satisfied to your row. This is of great help for everyone in the class, so everybody will strive for the best.
Then when I was in high school, our teacher was doing it in alphabetical order. Since my family name starts with letter S, so most of the time I'm at the back. It's so really hard sitting at the back especially if my classmates at the back were not paying attention to the teacher. Can hardly understand the lesson. Need to borrow my classmate's note so I can study it at home.

I normally sit in the middle or in the back. I don't liked to be seated in the front as I get bored and sleepy. I hated it so much when I have been put in the front seat in my senior year in high school. My adviser make the seating arrangement and landed me on the front seat. I changed seats in our different subjects to anyone who is willing to be place in front.

Because we are assigned to sit alphabetically, and my last name starts with E I am always sitting in front or second row. But if we are free to sit anywhere, I would like to sit in the middle. Where I can listen if I want, and I can talk whenever i want.

Lucky you because you can select your sit. In my class my teacher can only select the sit you are sitting. And my sit is on the middle of the class. If i decide i want to sit go the back near the windows like yours.

I guess most students don't like sit in the front of the classroom. Since I am always late for class, I have no chioce but sitting in front. However, just because of this, I can listen to the teacher more clearly, and also make me more serious-minded. That's help me a lot in studying well.
