Hello mylottians, i noticed that i can only sustain a relationship with someone that possess the same kind of hobbies with me like - listening to music, dancing and stuffs like that which tends to increse our level of compatibility.. please i would like to know if you also feel the same way mylottians, in hanging out with someone that you both share the same kind of hobbies...

I would say it is better to have a relationship with someone that you share interests in. But it does not have to be all interests. I love gardening, so does my husband. We both like the same style of music, but a few of the groups he likes, I detest. We both love football, we like the same team. He loves watching cricket. I hate cricket.
We do share a few interests and that does help in a relationship, but I do not think having all the same ones would be good. We are all different and the world would be boring if we where exactly the same.
I would have to say yes to your question. You do need somethings in common to get along.

I agree with you, it's great to have a common interest with your partner but not everything becuase it will lead to boredom. It's a must that you have other interest from your partner so that at the end of the day you will have something to talk to.

I think it is true that having the same hobbies can strengthen a relationship. Having the same interest enables us to engage in the same activity, and what's more important about it is we are enjoying the things we do. A person who hates his or her spouse's hobby would never be able to get along well with his or her partner because even if he or she forces himself to do it, he would not enjoy it truthfully.
The readiness to accept and tries to like a partner's hobby is a good thing to do. If not both partners can never get along well because both wanted to go separate ways.

Well i guess it depends on both partners if they will have a successful relationship. Even if you have a lot of things in common, its not an assurance that your relationship will survive for years. For me the best hobbies that both partners can share is "time".
