when did you learn to drive

That is a very good question and I remember when I was like sixteen I got my permit so I could drive with a parent or legal guardian,which was fun,and it gave me a little freedom,and then when I was seventeen I got my license even though it took me two tries to pass my driving test,the first time I failed because the driving instructor was a jerk,and failed me because I went one mile over the speed limit and I was tempted to kick him out of the car and leave him on the side of the road,but I did not,and then the next day I went back and passed the test,and got my license I was excited,and it gave me a lot of freedom,because I could drive by myself,and I got my first car when I was seventeen,and I bought it for five bucks from my grandfather,and it was a blue two door 1978 Chevy Nova,I loved that car because it was a muscle car,and it had a lot of power,and I drove that car for six months before I lost control one day after school,and ran into a welding truck and totaled it,I miss that car.

i passed my drivers test on the first try, and when i got my G1 (in Canada we have G1, G2 and G) i was 16 years old

I learned to drive at 17, but then I could afford a car to take the test in until I was 20. I passed on the second test despite driving much better on the first test. The guy in the first test was a total spaz of an old man who probably shouldn't have been working at the DMV. He probably would have passed my grandmother.

I can't drive right now. BUt I'm going to driving school this or next week. I'm so happy about it. And i can't wait my driving licenses ! :) I hop I pass it fast.

I went through drivers training when I was 15 and got my license when I turned 16. I am now going on 32. I've had one ticket for going through, what the cop says, a red light....I say it was YELLOW...that was when I was 18. I was in a hit and run accident when I was 19...I was sitting at a red light and a woman in a minivan re-ended me and kept going. I wasn't hurt bad but my car had about $2500 in damage. The cop and I looked around the neighborhood for her but she was long gone by the time he got there.
