With the election finally over, how do you feel about Barack Obama as our 44th president elect? Our country is in the hands of this man and it has me nervous. I don't think it has to do with who won the election because our country faces many years of restoration, regardless of who won the election. I'm definitely ready for a change!

I'm more nervous about the safety of him and his family, then I am about the changes that are said to take place once he takes office. Our society hasn't learned to look past the color of skin.

I see what you are saying. I worry about that too. However the fact that he won by so many votes makes me think that we are making progress.

I think the fact that he KNOWS his safety is so much at risk and he still ran for office, and he won and he shows outwardly no fear shows how much he loves his country and and people that think he is out to get this country are stupid because why would he put himself and his wife and kids in a situation like the one there in now, I wish that he didnt have to have 8 foot tall super thick bullet proof glass protecting him during his acceptance speech after his election but whatever it takes to keep him safe. but I am excited about what he will do but scared at the same time cause theres a lot to do.

Well I am filled with pride that Obama won. I am really glad that he did. And I'm really happy that we are finally through with Bush. Hopefully things get better now and we can go back to being the old U.S. I mean these past eight years were just awful. So like you said we are all ready for a change now. A toast to the new United States!

Of course it is but natural for you to becom nervous for change is coming back. but you don't have to be for the next coming days as this is just a transition period which you should be used to. Accept the change and everything will be okay the whole world is happy with the result of your elections much more on you thaty is in the US. You should be proud you have decided differently this time when the rest of the world agrees and is happy about that change you made.
