Once again I have been summoned to do Jury duty, and I'm not happy about it.I have been summoned at least 4 times in the past. I don't even care that they are paying $40 a day, it is still a pain in the butt, and there is not even proper parking. I have to show up on November 17th.
So have you done jury duty, and did you like it. would you ever want to do it again?

Yes I have done jury duty and will do it again. I was on a civil case that lasted one day. I learned a lot and will do a criminal case if I am picked.

My husband and I both kept getting called to jury duty over the last three months. He would get called on and then the next week I would. He got summoned three times and all three times his got cancelled the night before. I had to go in twice and even got picked the first time. We got to hear a little about the case went to lunch and then we had to wait an hour to be called back in. We got told the case had been cancelled so a whole wasted day just to cancel the case. The next time all the people waiting waited for about 2-3 hours and then got told he plead guilty. At least it was done before another whole wasted day happened. It wasn't too bad. I live in a small town so I visited both times with people I haven't seen in a while. I don't really want to do it again but if caled i will go. Good luck with yours. I would take a book or something to do while you wait, just in case you have a three hour wait.

Actually, I like jury duty, I guess that is why I am not called often. I think I have been called for jury duty three times. There was only one time I was actually on a case. I like law, so the idea of being on jury duty was interesting to me. I am not working now, so it would be a perfect time to be called. In my state NJ, they pay only $5.00 per day. Some companies want you to turn the money in since they are paying you for the day. I did work at a job, that allowed you to keep the silly $5.00.
