knot under babies skin

My baby is almost 3 months old. He got shots about 3 weeks ago. The doctor told me that he may get a knot where they gave him the shot. I remember this happening with my older son when he was a baby but the knot would go away after a couple of days. It has been 3 weeks and my son still has a knot where he got the shot. Should i be worried or will it go away?

Most pediatricians you can call and speak with a nurse. If you call and let them know what is going on they can tell you if you should come in or not worry about it. Better safe than sorry. I would call, never ignore something that makes you uneasy. Especially when it comes to your children's health!!!

I don't remember my kids ever getting a bump under their skin where they got their immunizations. I would probably give the doctors office a call just to ask if you should be worried about it. I am sure he is not the first baby to have a bump stick around, so they should be able to tell you something over the phone.
