Hi vinay.,
You can't use your HDFC bank account debit card directly for verification of Paypal account. This was because HDFC bank using netsafe card for all the users. You have to create one more netsafe card (you will find this option before login to your account. There is option for registration). I had already tried it but failed because the net safe card will be issued for only one or two months(can't remember exactly). And paypal rejects verifying those short period cards.
For verification in paypal, when you entered the card in paypal account for verification, then they will charge a transaction of $1.95 from your card. And you will find a four digit number in those transaction in your card statement. Typically the transaction will look like this.
EXPUSE* XXXX PAYPAL $1.95
You have to enter the number in where it was at XXXX position.
Then your account will be verified.
For withdraw the money from paypal to bank account,
Transaction fee of 50 INR. if the transaction cost is less than 7000 INR or equal.
No transaction fee of the transaction cost is more than 7000 INR.
You are always welcome with more doubts. Thank you.

The procedure for verification you mentioned is for moneybookers account.
Sorry for the mistake in last but one statement.
For withdraw the money from paypal to bank account,
Transaction fee of 50 INR if the transaction cost is less than 7000 INR or equal.
No transaction fee if the transaction cost is more than 7000 INR.

1. Paypal may add or withdraw a few cents from your bank account and you have
to verify your bank account by confirming the Paypal transaction with your A/c .
2. Paypal charges as per it's conditions . please log in to your paypal account
and see the charges / fees link provided at the bottom of the secured web page .
please look at the charges for withdrawal in India .

Actually, this message has proved to be quite a handful for me. Because, firstly I too am from India, and expecting my first payment. Some days ago, I requested my first payout from Ciao, and I heard I may get them in my paypal account on the 15th of the next month. Then I too will have to go through all this. But anyways, thanx for helping me. And yes, I too wanna add ssh123 as a a friend and request him/her to help me.

Hi vinay yes to verify your paypal they will send you a few cents and then they will open your account properly it is for security measures so they know they have got your bank details right..I live in the UK so lose a few dollars of what I earn on here any way as I only get half of what I earn on here because of our currency and yes they still take some cents off then for converting the dollars into your currency...hope this has helped ...littleowl

I am from india. I can't answer all your questions here as I am noyt sure of all. But I have transferred my money twice from paypal to my bank account, once to ICICI and another to hdfc. Add the account to paypal. Now you need IFSC code for the Branch with which you have the account. ask the custiomer care to get it. Now its not mandatory to add credit or debit card. When you transfer the amount to bank account, they will charge rs 50 for amount upto 7000 Rs. more than that, no charge

I have a free paypal account. When paypal verified me, they sent me two small change deposits to my checking account. I went back to paypal online and entered those tow amount there and withdrew my money free of charge.

Hi Vinay. To answer your first question, well i am not quite sure about the method of verification thru bank debit card. Because, i tried verifying my account by giving my bank account number, and i was told the same thing about receiving some minor payments from mylot by other mylot members, but i didnt receive any. So i verified my paypal account number by giving my credit card information. They charged me 1.95$ for the verification, but refunded me the same amount thru paypal.
Second, about making transactions thru paypal to your bank account, paypal does charge some amount. The amount varies based on ur transaction. If you withdraw your money to your bank account, the transaction fees is Rs.50 if the amount is less than 7000 Rs. else zero. If you withdraw the money to ur credit card, then the transaction fees is $5.
I am from India as well, and i have somewhat around 40$ in my paypal account. I haven't withdrawn any money yet, because, there is one more problem withdrawing money to ur credit card. The credit card should be a VISA card, but mine is MASTER Card. So, i am just waiting for the rt time to withdraw my money to my bank account.I guess it will be a fee of Rs 50 for me.

Hi Vinay,I have verified my Paypal account. This is how i did it.
I tried uisng my debit card, paypal did not accept it. Why? I dont have any answer.
I have ICICI credit card used it to verify. Paypal withdrew $1.95 from my account. After my account was verified I got that aount back in my paypal acount.
If you withdraw amount more than Rs.7000 they dont crage you any thing. But if it is less than Rs.7000 they chrage you 0.5%.
I think this answers your query. All the best. God bless.

Yes when you verify ur account. Paypal charges around $2 from your credit/debit card and then after a day or two returns them back in order to check the details of the account and verifying it fully. Every payment processors like Paypal and others have fees depending upon what you are doing a wire transfer, bank transfer or check the fees will be varing. Go through Paypal site once again to familiarize urself with the rules and fee structures.

I verified my account a long time ago so I don't remember how the whole cent thing worked but no, you are not charged anything when you send someone money or even when you send it to your bank account.

Yes the cents they send you, you have to go to the special section and tell them how much then they know you received it, I am not sure if things have changed or not but it used to be $150 to transfer when there is no fees, but there is small fees inviolved...
