Long gone was my childhood and school days. But one thing that I still seems not to be able to let go. I still enjoyed reading comics, picture comics are my favourite. Once when I was shopping in a mall at Kuala Lumpur, I passed an old bookshop. Than I noticed a stack of old Donald Duck comics books on display. I bought the whole stack of about six-seven books I think. Any other type of comics I also fancy.
I also enjoyed watching cartoon shows or movie like Aladdin etc. Whenever there's a cartoon movie on TV, I'll try not to miss it.
Even though I'm now working but I find by reading comics and watching cartoon, it helps to release my stress. At times just by watching, Tom & Jerry's character will make me smile. Do you people will think I'm very childish when I'm still reading comics or watching cartoons. Sometimes, am worry what people will think of me. Is there anyone like me out there or am I the one and only that have this habits.
Appreciate if my fellow lotters can offer your opinion on this topics.

The older generation might have difference opinion sometimes - according to them all these are only suitable for school-going children. So in another words, after school we should stick to adult books and movie. But for me I think these are alright as we only does these during our leisure. Just for the sake of relaxation and entertainment. Some humour to brighten up our day. Thanks Shar for sharing and cheers...

no i dont think so.. it's not childish but yes grown up people dont do it.. by grown up i mean people who are mean and can't think of anything but profit and business all the time.. people who have forgotten to live life and enjoy smaller joys in anticipation of getting bigger ones.

I don't think so. Actually I think it's normal that adults like reading comics and cartoons. People are suffering high pressure today. They need to find a way to relax. And cartoons and comics are the good choice. Besides, reading comics and watching cartoons will remind them of the past happy memory.
I love China

It's not a weird thing to see adult reading comics and watching cartonn series. We always heard our parent or older generation to say " ahh...cartoon is just for children" or " why are you behave like small kids, watching cartoon..bla..bla..bla". The truth that cartoon and comics is one kind of entertainment that can be enjoyed either by kids or adults. Sometimes it can served as a good medium to release the tension after long hours of working. Borrowing the proverb "laughter is the best medicine" so anyone who is laughing while watching Tom being fooled by Jerry will automatically help them to forget their tension, pressure and tiredness. Beside that, there's a type of cartoon that being produced specially for adult because of the matured storyline. So, if the producer itself released the cartoon for adult viewing, how could we say that cartoon is only for children. It's totally not true.Regarding the comics, I have a lot of friends who subscribed and collected several comics every month. They still looks matured and according to them they just treat the comics as a normal magazine. To Lavender, don't worry about what people may think. We know what we do and we know that we done nothing wrong. And believes me,that you're not alone in dealing with this habit.

Thanks pal for ensuring me that I'm not the only alien who does this. What you say makes sense, time change people change but the interest that lives within us we can never change. In real fact, comics and cartoons are entertainment for all of us. You are correct, laughter is the best medicine. I dont know what my life will be if there no comics and cartoons any more. Cheers
