God selects the best and most notable of His servants for the mest and most notable afflictions, for those who have received the most grace from Him are able to endure the most afflictions. in fact, an affliction hits a believer never by chance but by God's divine direction. He does not haphazardly aim His arrows, for each one is on a special mission and touches only the heart for whom it is intended. it is not only the grace of God but also His glory that is revealed when a believer can stand and quietly endure an affliction. ----Joseph Caryl

wow I believe God is really trying to let the message get through my doubtful heart! Just this morning i went through this quotation in a devotional book...it really spoke to me because i have undergone two surgeries within one month leaving me frustrated, lil depressed and questioning! Thank you for reminding me about how God is still at work in our lives.

yeah, we are both striked by the same message. God would really discipline those who are His. He loved us so much that He wanted us to know Him more and in many different ways. Hope that in His discipline for you, you will take it lightly. thanks a lot!

Yes, He disciplines those He loves and treat as His children. And this would largely depend on our Godly response toward any situation. During our conference the messages struck us in many different ways and it would also dependent on the kind heart we have and the kind of relationship we have with the father.

We all have our fair share of ups and down and its just good that we are true to ourselves. We are master pieces in the making each where God's hand are at work erasing the unnecessary.
Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!
