I have tried Joomla and Frontpage, Joomla is for linux, a freeware while prontpage is for windows. I find the Frontpage easier to use, it is more user friendly. Joomla on the other hand has a fixed format that i dont know how to change. is there a better software for web page development that you have tried out?

I started web development before there was software but I would say the first one that got my attention was DreamWeaver. I never liked Frontpage. It may be better now but I lost interest in it a long time ago.
I wanted to get out of web design as it took up way too much of my time leaving me no time to have a life. I dropped a few clients and taught a few how to manage their own sites so now I only have a hand full of clients that require my services.
The clients I taught to manage their own sites I taught using XSite Pro. It was easy to learn yet it had a lot of power for search engine optimization.

I think yes, frontpage is best, user friendly and poweful. Its depends on you how professional and complex website u want to develop, if you r going to be more professional, try Visual studio.net or web matrix from microsoft. It includes programming if u know, if u dont know, dont worry, fontpage will do almost all the things for u.
