I don't really have a favorite type of fish. To me, it all depends on how the fish is prepared. Even the most unappealing types can taste good if there's a good recipe for it. But my favorite fish dish is baked rainbow trout that you can dip in a peanut sauce. It's even better if you wrap it up in veggies like red lettuce, cucumber, bean sprout and other greens. Just thinking about it is making me hungry now.

Yup, I like cod very much, but it's so costly. And it's so easy to cook - just steam with sesame oil and ginger, add some light soya sauce. It's so sweet!
I like salmon too, grilled, baked or panfried. I don't take raw salmon (are you refering to sashimi?)

Hi ther youless. Me too my favorite is salmon, smoked or fresh (sashimi), or fried in olive oil with garlic. I like my sashimi with tabasco rather than wasabi, thats for salmon only. good day to you.

I tried a salmon dish where the salmon was coated with chestnut flour mixed with grated horseradish root. They served it with a sauce of chestnuts, celery root, vinegar and honey. It was very good. It was a gourmet cooking exhibition.

I like salmon and tuna the best. Here, cod is much less expensive than salmon. I like trout, but that is not an ocean fish. I like it with and almond side dish. I just like all kinds of fish.

I too love to eat raw salmon when they are fresh! But I prefer to use teriyaki sauce instead.
I too love to eat fresh Tuna when I get the chance. They are a tad more expensive compared to Salmon. But taste better than Salmon.
For cooked fish, I love cod as well. And like you said, they are expensive.
Depending on the dish, certain fish taste better than others.
I also love to eat Sting Ray. Barbecued with lots of sambal Chillies!
Woo... just thinking about it is making my mouth water!

Heh heh... I too am craving for some of those delicious sting ray barberque over a slow fire on a banana leaf!
That lovely sambal chilli. That sourish tangy taste from the lime. The condiments that goes with the dish... my mouth is watering!
If only I do not have to nurse this nasty cough and itchy throat!

I love fresh salmon. I like it just about anyway it can be cooked. I like it with a caper sauce, although, I scrape the capers off. I don't like them but, I love the sauce part over the salmon. I also like it with a good hollandaise. There is also a recipe with black pepper and teriyaki sauce that is really good. It is a nice, spicy and sweet flavor that goes well with the salmon.

Actually, I only cook salmon patties at home. Aside from the patties, I am the only one that eats it, so I only eat other ways when we go out.

I prefer milder fish, like snapper, tilapia and catfish. My husband and son love salmon and tuna, but I am not a fan. We do eat a pretty decent amount of fish. I don't usually use wasabi with anything except sushi (only cooked sushi for me). Maybe I should. I really love wasabi!

I personally like salmon very much too. It is such a versatile fish, you could really cook it in almsot any way and it would still taste wonderful. You could grill it with a simple honey glaze. You could broil it with an oriental flavored oyster sauce. You could steam it Thai style with some coconut milk sauce. You could bake it with hardly any seasoning, nothing more than some salt and pepper. You could smoke it, and have a wonderful smoked salmon sandwich. You could also eat it raw, and have for yourself some sushi or sashimi! But it is very important that the salmon you choose is fresh, as your dish would not taste good at all if it is not very fresh.

I like salmon too, especially when I'm having Japanese sushi. I also like to dip it with soy sauce and wasabi. It's just very nice especially when the salmon is fresh. Other than salmon, I actually I do not really know the name of the fish.

Hi
My favourite fish is Pomfret. Here is my favourite pomfret recipe:
1. Baked Pomfret with Lemon and Herbs
Ingredients:
Pomfret fillets – 4, firm fleshed
Olive oil – 2 Tbsp
Onion, chopped – 2 Tbsp
Celery, chopped – ¼ cup
Fresh mint leaves, chopped – 1 Tbsp
Fresh lemongrass, chopped – 1 Tbsp
Fresh coriander, chopped – 1 Tbsp
Lemon juice – 2 Tbsp
Lemon rind, grated – 1½ Tbsp
Black pepper to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 175 deg. C (350 deg F). Lightly oil a baking dish with olive oil. Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry.
2. Heat the oil in a skillet over moderate heat. Add the celery and onion and sauté until soft, about 10 minutes.
3. Stir in mint leaves, coriander, lemongrass, lemon rind and lemon juice. Season with black pepper.
4. Place the fish fillets in the oiled baking dish. Spread a portion of lemon-and-herb mixture on each fillet. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

I am from Romania, far away form sea or ocean. I didn't use to eat a lot of fish until I moved away form home. Now I just love it. I tried salmon and it's good but my favourite is tuna. It is the best no doubt about it.
Since I am so far away from sea or ocean you imagine the cost of fish. For an average Romanian it's quite a luxury to buy fish. It's a different situation in the Danube Delta and by the Black Sea. But here in Transilvania it's expensive.
But I buy tuna as often as posible... I love tuna!:)
