New users on mylot

Lately, I've been frequenting in the 'new user discussions' category here in mylot. And I've learned that some of the new users who have already created their own discussions, had less descriptive details or no contents at all; merely a few words and not even a couple of sentences. Have you noticed these too? And if yes, what do you tend to do? Do you reply to their discussions? Or do you just pass them by?

Hi there mykmari_08! I have noticed the same thing as you did. In fact, for quite some time now, I have noticed that there are more and more discussions that are made up of very few words. Some are of short sentences. Others are of short phrases. There have been times that I responded to them. But that rarely happens. I tend to respond to those that have sense and substance.

I get your point. At times, I also feel the same way as you do. I'd rather reply to those discussions which are really worth responding to, than to those which are generally not thought of carefully when they were created. Thanks for sharing your views.

I too have noticed that the discussions started by the new users are not very descriptive. Sometimes I do tell them very politely in the response to be a bit more detailed in their future discussions. If it is a topic where I can reply with a couple of sentences or more then I do reply. I do not respond to discussions where I cannot contribute much,

Just like you, I also do respond to these type of discussions created by new users here in mylot, just to inform them in a kind way that they should try to be as descriptive as possible so as to generate more responses, and eventually earn more dollars.

I guess you're right about this but I honestly feel that they should, at least by their referrors, be informed or guided on the appropriate method of creating discussions here for them to earn more. Thanks.

I do not really like responding to oneliners... except it they were started by my friend here and they are really interesting... newbies do not know yet that it is better to be as descriptive as possible here... and they would realize that when no one would respond to their discussion...

I really hope they'd realize this soon. This is also the very reason why I respond to them sometimes; just to let them know that they might not get a lot of replies and in the process, they won't gain more.

Actually, one of my referrals did such! I just simply responded to her one line question, then explained to her how to post and start discussions! She gets it now, and doing just fine Taripre$

Another concerned soul! I'm glad to know that there are referrors (I'm not sure about this English term I used in here.) like you who go out of their way to guide their referrals. Way to go! Thanks for responding.

Thanx, just trying to show my people and the rest of the members how mylot effectively! Yes, they're still plenty of members who just refuse to form or respond according to how a discussion is suppose to go, even in life outside of mylot! "I understand u want to be u, but do u actually speak to your friends or associates like that?" Taripre$

You're quite observant, I should say. But to answer your query, there are just a few of those times when I feel like my mind is dictating my hands of what to write, in such a hurried spontaneous way.

You're right! They really are still new to the community. Fortunately, when I was starting here, I knew that one or two liners won't count because the one who invited or referred me (and others) here told us beforehand to create or respond with at least seven to eight lines.

Yes i have seen users start one line discussions.I respond to those discussions.Because they are new and they have not read the guidelines. They don't know how to post.As time goes by they will realize it and start posting sentences.Happy mylotting.

That's a great spirit you've got there! Aside from promoting camaraderie, you are also a helpful soul to those whom I personally think should be guided in creating discussions in here, with the consideration that they are new here. I also reply to some of their discussions because I want to tell them as kindly as possible, that the way they create their discussions might not generate more replies and in the process, they won't be able to gain more earnings.

i am 3 days old mylot member. i do not think responding with just a few words or no words is correct as this is not making friends and sharing views which is mylot purpose. I certainly won't respond as what to respond to a few words or no words at all.

Well I feel I must congratulate you for two reasons; one is you seem to be well-informed or have a clearcut view of how things should be done, and another is that, you have posted quite a lot (50 posts) in just 3 days considering you're new here. Anyway, welcome to mylot.
