Hi All, do you often work overtime?
Tonight, it's rain in my city and I didn't bring an umbrella, so I need stay at the office until it become fine. That's make me think the concept work overtime.
In which cases, you will work overtime? Is your overtime work paid?

As much as possible, I try not to render overtime. I finish my work within the 8-hour working schedule that I have. Although sometimes, I really can't help but have OT especially during end of the month when I needed to finish some reports. But that's the only time that I render OT, once or twice a month the most and I usually extend up to 3 hours only. My overtime is not paid. Yeah, sad. But it is okay though, because at the following month we were given one or two days off leave with pay depending on the number of OT hours that we have. This instance is for Supervisors and above positions only.

I don't normally work overtime unless there is a need. Since I'm in the accounting line, I only work overtime during month end account closing. Usually that would just be around 1 or 2 days. Not worth for me to work overtime as I'm not paid for the extra hours.
