Can you live depending only on online income?

I'm just wondering if there are mylotters who are full time online money makers. Is it worth it? Or is there such? I see a lot of programs in the internet and I'm wondering if most of them are part-timers or they do online earning full-time. Honest answers please. As for me, I think online income is not steady so one should have a regular job to be a backbone.

and by the way, $500 here in japan is just the cost of an LV Bag..arggg!! to be able to keep up with my hobbies i should work decently for it...:-) so my motivation is my lifestyle and I don't want to do dirty old man to buy that..that thing is too over rated..LOL..so part time online income is very good than nothing..right??

Hi Grace! Yeah, right on the dot! Your question is very timely, I was thinking about this a lot too lately. I am a regular employee who's now torn between staying on the job or quitting to be a stay at home mom (my first myLot post is actually about this dilemma :). Sorry if i wasn't able to contribute anything. :) will definitely follow this discussion. ;) Cheers!

ride on girl.. but hey, if ur hubby has a job then what's the problem with full time working online? mmmm...maybe one of my worries would be staying at home would make you lose that trend in fashion and stuff...

Hi there Grace. I think i would starve from the first month of just earnings online, as i hardly earn even 10 US dollars online and with that (assuming that i get them all in one month) i could barely live at most 1 week.

LOL ur crazy...but that's a good example you cited! anyways, ok i believe you now. peace out! what do you do for a living? I'm an engineer but because of the high cost of where I am I can barely buy what I want... so I would need good back-up from the inet.

with determination and patience,i think it will work but i don't think that it will ever substitute the earnings you used to have.earning online i think will only give you some extra cash but not totally help you in your daily expenses.it's a bit risky though, with all the scams out there.therefore, one should be careful.

I've been writing online full-time for close to five years after spending two years looking for a "real" job. The income is variable, but I can nearly always make enough to cover my bills. I don't do it on sites like this, though. I have a steady group of clients for whom I write content for web pages, ebooks and articles for print publication.

wow what a talent you have! that's good! but is it too boring to just stay at home and write? do you still have time to have fun? I don't know maybe I just fear that If i don't write in a day, i would have nothing to eat the following day. Unlike the offline income / regular job I know I would have enough for the whole month.

I don't think so. Nothing beats a steady income although right now I'm a freelance writer. I still consider it regular though because I always have some projects in line for me. Maybe I'm just lucky or what but no, I don't think I can live off online income except perhaps if I'm into e-commerce. Those kinds of businesses can feed a family if pulled off really good.

I guess once you have a lot of referrals for all your sites, and your active and their active with their participation, you may be able to just work full time online... But of course, you should also have a steady site that you earn at least things that cover the bills. As for me, I doubt I'll be able to stay home and work online fulltime, because I'm barely even making a buck a day here and I spend at least $20 a day!! It would be great that if there's sites where you can accumulate enough to get you through monthly bills and have some left over for savings and also getting things you want, but unfortunately, it's not time yet, maybe in time I can achieve that.. But for now, side income from sites like these are prety nice.. Sure, I've not made payout yet for most of them, but I'm working on it.. :) Have a great day!!! Take care!

huh? why do you pay 20 dollars a day? what for? I only enjoy free stuff so def i go for free programs and free ways to get refs and stuff.. it can be very tiring though. I started being active online since august... so that's 3 months...i got a total of $180 income in that 3 months... it's too much effort at least 3 hours per day at night after working or even when i'm working ..hehehe.. so if you convert that hours in the past 3 months, i spent 270 hours in the net already...and with revenue $180..hehehe..tsk tsk! but anyways, those are spare time though...

Well, honestly I don't think you could live depending only on those online reward programs. But you still can earn some extra cash if you dedicate at least one hour per day (about 10-20 dollars). That's what I do. Of course, there are lots of online programs, but not all of them are trustable. You have to be careful though. Ask for opinions before entering to a program. :)

i am completely cautious about the sites i join..i enjoy free stuffs though..what is that site that gives u 10 dollars per hour? is that data entry?

is it for US and Canada? or international? I am from Japan. Please let me know if I'd qualify for that.

Well, there are lots of them but the one I mostly recommend is Surveyspot.com, in which you earn some money by answering surveys. There's always one available survey at least and they do pay from 2-20 each. Sometimes they pay more than that if you're willing to spend a reasonable time navigating the site. I earnt almost 200 bucks in just one month and the checks get to you faster than other reward programs do. However, you must update your profile with trustable data and do not waste time pretending to be someone that you're not or having stuff that you don't. It makes it easier and a lot more enjoyable.

I read from another website that money making online, you can bear your fruits after 3-4 months of hard labor..that means if you're blogging or have a website and with consistent working to get visitors and leads, the income will come on the 3rd month...meaning you'd have to sacrifice for the first few months before arriving to the desired extra income... i get my money few dollars in product review writing, if u want i can give you the link, PM me...

Somebody is terrific in making money on internet.online, they can earn much money than a regular job.So they would like to quit their regular job.Do anything in the time they are willing to.It sounds good, isn't it?But,it is only some one,not every one can get successfull online.so we need a regular job,and making money online is a extra job.

You're right! how i wish it's easy to get money online...for other it is but sometimes being in the offline/regular job can also improve you as a person..your interpersonal skills and so on...being at home on your computer might be rewarding but boring and can make you feel stagnant... i think..

I use to make great money online when the vines were still around. I use to write for readesvine and themestream, and epinions. the vines and theme are gone, epinions is still around and I still make money through them, just not as much as I use to. I also had acouple of other places I wrote for, but they all went belly up. I use to pay rent, bills and groceries with them, plus one site was amazon gc, and bought all my xmas gifts one year with them. It is a shame these kind of places are around anymore. They use to pay 50-100 every month just for maintaining your site. Oh well....

Hi Grace Good question? I have spent a lot of money and time on this on line money thing! So I'm a bit of an expert on not what to do! If your just doing these type of sites. I would think the answer is No! However i know a lot of people who make millions. It depends how much you want to put into building a long lasting on line business? I want to help people. Not to make the mistakes i have made. I have finally found a mentor who is helping start raking it in! i have 3 FREE Videos you can watch, of an affordable programme, that will give you a greater understanding of whats involved. Please let me know, and i will send you this FREE link, and help you as much as i can. Kev UK

Some bloggers do! In fact, they've quit their regular job offline to concentrate on blogging. People like John Chow, Darren Rowse, Jeremy Shoemaker, Jonathan Ledger, etc. are earning a massive amount of monthly income from their blogs, bigger than what they're earning before that. Although I'm not experiencing it at this moment, I still believe that you can live depending on online jobs.

No, it is impossible for me to survive with my online earning as it's pretty little only. The online earning is only an extra income. It's quite little and it doesn't mean anything. I love China

hehe..i love china too!! i am half chinese..:-) Anyways, i agree with you...it doesn't mean anything...maybe for your other stuffs to be bought online you can use the money ..for gifts and stuff...but for livelihood..i guess not... online, programs are getting many, leads are getting scarcer and people are getting more and more skeptical..hehehe..coz there's no such thing as easy money online..

I wonder if anyone can live solely on online income. I mean, is it possible to earn a decent living online for majority of the people. I am not taking specialist technical people in account. A lay man can not do it. This is my point of view.

I think online income is not much compared to a regular job. A good regular job is a stable income, so you can do budget your income wisely, while mostly online income is not reliable for it is not stable. If you want to be financially stable , try to start your own business and be the boss of your own company.
