i do like using pencils coz whenever i make mistakes i can easily and simply erase it. but they do hurt my finger.. coz it's hard and woody.. that's why i prefer to use pens. though you can't afford to make mistakes. even so, i still use them. i just make sure that i make less mistakes so as not to make my work or my paper dirty...
now which do you prefer guys???
a pen or a pencil?

I prefer those really expensive $8 ball point pens no one buys at Wal-Mart. The ink flows out of them so well, it's just pleasure to use them. However if you're one to make mistakes, stick to mechanical pencils. But please don't get the cheap ones that squeak while you're writing with them.

well, i would perfer pens becouse when u write something you can do it much cleamer and much nicer. if u make mistakes while writing u can use tippex to correct you mistakes. but with pencil what u write can be easily erased even by mistake...
normally we use a pencil to write things more likely to change but most of the time what i write is for permenant basis.
on top of that we used to write with pencils when we were kindergardining. that was, when we couldn't write properly without having so many mistakes

I would rather use a pen.pen are made for men.^_^
In my opinion , children are often use pencil while adult use pen.
if you often use a pencil you will afraid of making mistakes, that is not a good habit.

I prefer writing in pen rather than pencil because my vision is not that good. I can see my writing more in pen and besides I am use to it because since elementary up to college I am using it. I made some erasures also but every time it happens I just look for another clean sheet of paper to write.

i'm a college student on mechanical engineering, till now i always using mechanic pencil for my note and take my pen when i filling form or give my signature. On my experience use branded mechanic pencil is very nice, comfortable, more life time because it can be refill and cheaper than pens. And for me, as a mechanic design student, i prefer pencil for my hand. Happy myloting !!

For me, I still prefer using pencils compared to pens. Like you, the main reason is that it's very easy to erase if I did a mistake (which I always do). However, pencils require sharpening which can be a little messy and tedious, unless we're using a mechanical pencil, which I use more often than wooden pencils. On the other hand, I tend to dislike using pens because they always stop functioning at the time when I need the ink the most eg. during exams etc. We won't have problems with pencils because as long as the pencil is still of sufficient length, we know we can still write. Also, when writing with pens, I always tend to smudge the ink because of the way I hold the pen. Those wet ink pens are the worse in this circumstance. Hence, whenever I use wet ink pens, I have to write the first line, then wait for a few seconds before being able to write the next line, and so on - this wastes a lot of my time. I guess the only positive side of pens for me is that it is relatively cheaper than pencils.
Overall, after weighing the pros and cons of pencils and pens, the obvious winner is pencils! Too bad though that in exams we are made compulsory to use pens to write....but I still use pencils while taking notes suring lectures....

I like using pens, because I like the smooth moving of it on the paper. When I write with pencils I never notice that I'm pressing it too hard on the paper, so rubbing out is a sudgy no-no xP
