Developing countries or developed countries does not matter. My country is one of the Commonwealth countries and Commonwealth games has been held here too in the year 1998, if i remember correctly. This event has made all the Malaysian proud. We have successfully held the games and then now many people know about Malaysia.

Developing countries or developing countries? I think you made a typo and one of them should have read DEVELOPED countries instead....
Anyway, I think be it developed countries or developing countries, there should be no discrimination on which type of country should be given the responsibility to hold the Commonwealth Games. The most important thing is that, the country that is granted the responsibility to hold the Games, should be willing and capable of doing what they should do in preparation for the Games.
I remember when Malaysia (my home country) got chosen as the host country for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, there were lots of speculation about whether Malaysia will be able to do a good job because it's the first time Malaysia will be hosting such a big sporting event. But eventually, everything turned out well, and that's the outcome everyone wanted. So even when a country is hosting for the first time, I feel they should be given the opportunity to show what they are capable of doing.

The commonwealth games has to be held in a country belonging to the commonwealth! It has been held both in developed and developing countries.what a curious question? do you live in a country that belongs to the Commonwealth?
