Durian Ice Cream: Have you tasted it?

I really dont like the smell of durian because its really awful and so yucky. But when i go to the supermarket and check on the freezer section, i saw an ice cream and the flavor is durian. I'm really so curious if it tastes good or still it has the smell. Has anyone of you here in mylot have eaten durian ice cream? does it taste good? how about the smell? yummy or yucky?

i'm sorry you dont like the smell, most really dont eat durian because of it's strong smell...but i love durian! i used to hate the stench but when i tried it....lo and behold----BEST FRUIT IN THE WORLD!!! i just love it---yeah i tried the ice creams too (candies, shakes, name it) but they dont do the fresh durian any justice! try it, you might like it....

Thanks for the reply. yes a lot of my friends told me that i'll just have to ignore the smell. Because if ill taste it for sure i'll ask for more. i've tried the durian pastillas and its creamy and i love the taste. Plus it dont smell so bad, but there's still the aroma of durian. i'll try to taste the fresh ones if i can handle the smell LOL. if i'll like it or not.

Oh yes, teresita, durian flavored ice cream really taste good. I am not a Durian eater before because it smells bad to me. I feel sick just with the smell but a friend of mine taught me how to eat Durian. when I first taste it i feel like vomiting but she said, go ahead don't mind the smell, eat more.. then I did.. that's the starting point and I became Durian addict. Yes,Durian ice cream taste really good, Just don't mind the smell, tastes is not yucky only the smell but it tastes yummy!!!!

I have ate durian fruit before. My uncle went to the province and bing home durian fruits and candies. The fruit taste good but smelly. I love the fruit but not the smell of it. I never heard that durian ice cream is in the market. I hoped it's taste good.

Hey I love them, but I don't eat them as much. Only when the weather is too hot and I need something to coolme down.

Yes, I've tasted it on our recent trip to Davao. It was placed on top of a durian flavored halo-halo. We both it at Aling Foping's. It doesn't smell and it's not yucky. But I think it's too sweet for may taste. I hardly even finished consuming it.
