Hi all my friends here. A lot of people like to go cinema to watch the movies they like with friends. But i prefer to watch it at home with friends. But sometime i will go cinema to watch some movies too. Why i prefer to watch movies at home? It is because sometime i feel thay the audio system at the cinema will be a bit over for me. What i mean is the volume. Other than that, the air-conditional is also one of the problem. It will be a bit too cold if we sitting inside a cinema for few hours. If i am at home i can adjust all these by myself and i can watch the movies i like for more comfortable. How about you?

I prefer watching them at home. It's very hard for me to just watch a movie so at home I'm able to play online, or look at recipes, or whatever else needs to be done. Plus going out to the movies can get expensive once you factor in sodas and snacks.

Hi thanks a lot for your response. I agree with you. Other than snacks and sodas we still need to pay for the petrol fees. Drive a distance for a movies. I dont think it is worth. I will be very tired after driving and cant concerntrate watching it. Happy myloting!!! Have a great day!!!

I love going to see movies at the theatre, but for me, cost is an issue. I will watch movies at home, but I don't like the experience as much. Granted, it's better if I can watch with a friend.

I'm in Ontario, Canada, and the prices for movie tickets aren't much different than where you are. I try to see matinees, as they tend to be 1/2 price ($4.20 at the theatre I usually go to). But I also usually have my 3 sons, so either I have to pay for a babysitter, or bring them along. Either way, it makes going to the movies more expensive for me than for most. The regular adult admission for evening shows range from $8 to $12 I believe, depending on what theatre you go to (Silver City is the most expensive, but they have some amazing jumbo screens).

I usually watch movies at home, some movies I need to rewind them to further understand the story and i can't do that in the cinema. For some movies I like to watch it in the cinema because i want to really experience the sound like those from the Harry Potter Sequel:) The air conditioner is a plus for me since in our country it's pretty hot when it's sunny..

You got that right, when you are at home you can fix all of your things to your liking. The AC/heater, popcorn and all the drinks you want without having to pay for it. The only thing you might have to pay for is the movie. Other than that your in your home saving. Compared to what it cost for a movie and the snacks that go along with it.
If you have satellite, all you have to do is purchase ppv movies an you don't have to buy the dvd. They movies that come out in the cinema end up on ppv once they are out on dvd. Then once they have shown on ppv then they go to the other channels like HBO,MAX, SHO, STARS, and ENCORE. I don't know if people know that your not.
But if you an wait to see the movie is doesn't cause as much as going to the cinema. So I'm like you I can stay at home and watch a movie any day.

Well nothing beats watching movie on the Big screen and that also with your friends.
Its because you will never get the same sound effects and experience while watching the same movie at home . However there are many companies that are coming up great home theater system which almost match your experience in the theater to watching movies at home

I like to go the cinema hall to watch movies most of the time....... this applies to only those movies which i am desperate to watch. all other movies, i just watch it online;....... Although i go to cinema halls.. i hate it wen some freak screams out 7 disturbs or spoils all the fun in the movie....
the reason i go to conema halls is that i want to watch the movie on the big screen... once i have seen it on the big screen. i wait for the DVD release & watch it again & again in my PC alone in my room woithout any disturbance.....

I prefer to watch movies at cinemas. I like buying the popcorn and candy. But watching movies at home is nice too. I think its more exciting getting out of ones house and going to the movies.

For me, it depends on my mood. I would rather go to the cinemas at times when I feel lonely or when I simply need to get out of the house, but any other time, I would love to sit at home and relax on the couch, where you can easily adjust the temperature in the room. Perhaps have a fire in the fireplace, much cheaper popcorn...It all depends on what you want. Hanging out with friends can be a great thing, and if you don't want to wait for the movie to come out on DVD, then you can simply go to the theaters.

I love watching movies at home a lot comfortable rather than going to cinema halls and watching it. Because i could pause it, fast forward it, skip out some lazy hazy stuff, get myself comfortable etc., Some might feel i miss sound effects :( even for which i have an alternative of hearing it using ear phones! The only thing i miss at home is "POPCORN", i like it so much! ;)

Most of the time I like to watch movies at home, but not for any of the reasons you mentioned. I like the sound system at theaters. Yes, sometimes the theaters are a liuttle cold, but I can always wear a light jacket. I like watching moves at the cinema, but they're too expensive.

Since prices of commodities including cinema tickets are rising, I changed my way about watching movies .. instead of watching it on cinemas during its release, i'll just wait for it on Hbo, cinemax, etc.. so that I can watch it for free without paying any tickets.. just electricity. Also, I can always buy several movies that I can watch at home.. I'm not into piracy though but it kinda tempts me to buy because of its low low price and sort of superb video quality. Also, just like you.. its comfortable to watch movies at home because you can do anything you want. sit or lie down in any position and place as long as the tv or screen is visible to your eye.
:D

I enjoy both. I love watching movies at home but I have an unlimited cinema pass which is brilliant. I love watching movies at the cinema. BUT I am slowly getting more and more put off by the amount of **(Enter your own curse word here)** in the cinemas.
I don't mean the amount of people, I can handle a packed cinema, I HATE mobile phones , you can see that light when you are next to them or across the other side of the cinema, I hate the talking constantly though it, I hate the explaining the movie scene for scene to whoever you are with. All of which happens in almost very movie I see and I am getting fed up of me or someone else in teh cinema asking them to shut up because we shouldn't have to. I don't actually often experience kicking in the back of the chair so that isn't one of the major problems.
