Missing Camera

I went to a Halloween Party on October 25th. On the way home, we stopped at a bar and were talking to some people we had never met before. We took some pictures and there were some pics on the camera from earlier in the night. On the way home, I noticed my camera was not in my purse. I decided to call the bar the next day to see if it was there, but it wasn't. Then I went into the bar on Monday to check again and no one had turned it in. I also had the person whose vehicle it was check to see if it dropped, but it hadn't. I know that it's my fault if I left it on the table and I don't want to put the blame on anyone, but that is a boundary you just don't cross. Now I don't even want the camera back, just the pictures that were on there. I am a trusting person and want to give people the benefit of the doubt, but not so much now. I work hard for the things that I have and don't like when they get taken away from me.

I hate that too. We were in Germany and my husband's camera disappeared, either we left in on a bus or it was stolen and we didn't notice until after we got off. At any rate we were lucky it was at the beginning of the trip and didn't have pictures on it yet. Still we were not happy about that!

Come to think of it that was the trip I got pickpocketed in Prague. Didn't mind about the credit card (which didn't get used) or the cash so much, but I really liked that little wallet. Never did find another one like it. :-(

That happened to my brother too in Hawaii while we were at the volcano. He left his camera on the table and when we went back for it, it was gone. It almost seems that the things you want or like the most tend to disappear. Thanks for sharing your story :) When were you in Germany and Prague?

This was a 1995 trip. We've been to Germany several other times, but this was the only time we've been to Prague.

hi mindym...that makes me feel sick for you. it is a shame that many people cannot be trusted. even people you should be able to trust. i hope that you at least get your photos back.
