Do you think the majority of people don't listen?

I was hanging out with a group of friends the other day. It seems that honestly, no one listens anymore. I either repeat myself to get the point across or end up listening to other people repeating themselves. When are people going to clear their head of what they want to say and actually listen to what other people are saying. You can only listen properly with an empty head.

I know! How bad is it. I've actually had this problem alot and so now when Im going to talk to anyone I make sure they're looking at me first and if they say "hangon what?" at the end, I give up and say dont worry bout it. If they get annoyed at me then its they're problem. People always want to know someone when they here ONE interesting word that you have to say but theyve missed the whole conversation. What do they have to think about anyways, We were talking first...

hi, Lizen1st.
people nowadays have difficulty listening because everybody is too busy. this is not our fault. it's just that there are so many things that make us busy...earning a living, tv, house chores, etc.
i think that you have to set the mood before starting to talk seriously. nothing fancy, just an intro like "i want to talk to you about something" will do.
welcome to mylot, lizen1st. have a nice day!
