Anyone else notice how a fairly large chunk of every video game that's been based solely on a movie has not reached the expectations of regular gamers? Games such as Charlie's Angels, Shrek, and Monsters Inc should all be left alone. Anyone else notice this trend?

I know what you mean it seems that a lot of video games out there today have some relation or reference to a movie even if the movie sucks and I am not sure why game developers would do something like that especially if the games are not that good but I guess it has something to do with money, and if they reference to a movie maybe they get paid more money,by the movie company,or something like that or maybe they think that it will help them sell more video games or something especially since the economy is in bad shape, and not a lot of things are selling because people do not have the money to buy stuff.

I think it basically comes down to making money. It doesn't even matter if the game is good or not (in most cases it's not good) but some people will buy the game just because it is related to a movie they like. A good example of this would be the show Naruto. I've lost count of how many Naruto games have been developed and it doesn't even look like it's stopping anytime soon. As long as people like the show or movie, they're probably going to buy the game. It's pretty rare to find a game based on some show or movie.
