The US elections have just finished and again showed the world the new way of doing elections. In contrast Philippine election reforms yet have to start with all the bickering of the politicians. Is there any chance that a new election system be created in the Philippines that can reduce/eliminate the fraud associated with it? How?

Well honestly i dont think the present government want to reduce fraud in the current voting system. Why? Because they want to CHEAT over and over and over again so they can earn more money. Well the only way elections can minimize fraud is to have a great system like america. Another way, maybe, is to have a better and more realiable office than the comelec cause i think right now comelec officials are not doing their jobs right and they have lots of loose ends. This are jsut my opinions.

I agree that some politicians just want to maintain the status quo and is aided by the culture of patronage/ padrino system in the government that is hard to eradicate.
