I have a poor sense of direction!

I just turn back to my office,i have a bad mood,because i just got lost!Today i drive a car with my workmate to a place,when we arrive there,she got off and go into the building to do something,then i find a place to park.I wait for several minutes,she call me to pick her,i drive out the park quickly,i found i got lost!I can't find the place that she got off.She call me and tell me how i can do,then i just find her
.I have been living here for two years,but i often got lost,i am so puzzle!But i can't get lost if i take bus!
Anybody has a good suggestion can help me to not get lost?

Well i can teach you this one simple way to fix that problem. You just have to look for landmarks that are found everywhere. First look for a landmark then locate where you are from the landmark(I mean North, west, east or south). If this is finish then you just have to memorize this until it becomes part of your system. All im saying here is to know the most important thing in traveling which is the basics of direction NEWS(NORTH, EAST,WEST AND SOUTH). Thats it hope this help friend!

A problem,i don't know the basics of direction clear here!I think i should look for landmark as you said,during we were driving that she told me all what did i do,so i don't memorize at all,maybe it is the major reason that i often get lost!Thank you for your suggestion!

Maybe the type of people like us have been having a poor sense of direction since we were born
,so i think whether somebody can help us or give us some suggestion,it will be helpful more or less.Maybe we memorize some road that we must drive on the road many times by ourselves.

Oh dear friend I'm afraid I won't be able to help with that. I have the same problem too when it comes to directions
I find it hard to remember places. Well, I guess its because I don't commute a lot. And to be able to remember directions, I try to look for landmarks. Tall buildings maybe or stores with a name that's very easy to remember. I also try to memorize the direction in my head as if I am drawing a map. I don't know if it can help you but you can try it.

So many people have this problem,it seems like i am not single!I guess if we drive on the road a hundred times we must can memorize!So it is really a big problem for us.1 person likes this

I didn't note the landmark or building at all,if i go out alone i will pay attentions on them,or i will get lost again even if someone help me!

i feel for you. i also have a poor sense of direction. i use to have a serious problem trying to find my car in the parking lot. more than once i thot my car was stolen. i've been scared by that many times. i also get lost easy. i try to look around the area and notice things to help me remember the spot i need to know. take care.
