we sat face to face as strangers

today i met a classmate who i am not quite familiar with. to my embarassment, we sat face to face to work on our own computers. she didn't show any sign to me that she recognize me, so i felt a bit difficult to open my mouth first to greeting her. so we sat togeter for a whole afternoon without saying a word, so terrible~~

Maybe she's shy. I was when I was younger. I was so shy I wouldn't talk to anyone unless they talked first. I was almost phobic about it
Just say hi and ask her if she went to X school. It's a good ice breaker. Then you can get start to get to know her as a person.

That's really awkward. Hahahaha! Sometimes that happens because at least one of you doesn't remember a thing from the past, or because at least one of you is convinced that you did not share a connection while you were together, so no one steps up to greet the other. Hope you could eventually catch up.
