If the close friend or intimate lover betrays you( evern though it may be from a good reasen),what would you do to her/him?
To forgive her/him, love and believe her/him as much as before? or you will hate her/him and take any opportunity to pay it back to her/him?

if ever that would happen to me..(i hope it wouldn't) i still can forgive them for doing so. but it takes time to heal a broken heart, right? so i think maybe a very very very long time is needed before i can fully forgive them.

The foundation of a relationship is Trust. Wether it is between close friends,or even lovers, once the trust had been broken, it will never be the same ever again.
I don't really understand when you say "eventhough it may be for a good reason", as usually betrayal refers to something bad and horrible, or maybe you mean 'lying' for a good reason?
When it comes to betrayal (bad reasons), I might be able to forgive their actions, until certain extent, or else I'm gonna ask God to help me get through it, since the damage has already been done. But forgiveness is one thing, I'm sure I won't trust them ever again. I will try not to think of 'revenge', and I hope I won't, because it's going to cost more pain and not worth it. Look at the world, enough damages had been done due to revenge. I believe justice will prevail in the end, in its own way.
