Failiure is the word that comes in some point in time to everyone.
Failiure makes us to knee down sometimes.
Failiure induces feeling of resentment and distress in us .
Failiure slow down our progress in life.
Failiure sometimes causes depression .
So my question is how do you face failiure in life ?
What makes you motivated inspite of big failiure ?
Please find image of kid attached busy with serious introspection .
Thanks
Ganesh

There's something people need to learn. Failure is a common thing in life to success. Failures happens but it's not mortel to life. We should not give up. That's what i tell myself when I fail things. We should also realize that if this keeps on not going the way we want, it's time to move on and not become too much stubborn. Whatever it is like school or work, we should change a study field that suits us more rather then studying in medecine knowing that I suck in chemsitry and biology. When it does not work, we go to plan B. There will always be many options to be chosen..it's not the end.

Hi Ganesh...love that Goddess. I have a statue of her in my office because I respect what she represents. Anyway, I accepted your friend request after checking out your site. Thanks for asking...I look forward to chatting more.
While I was here I noticed this discussion and felt motivated to add my views to it. I am a life coach, seminar leader and free lance writer and failure comes up a lot in different aspects of my work with clients.
What I have learned about the seeming "failures" in my life...is that in retrospect they really are not failures at all. They were just one of many valuable life lessons I needed to learn. Once I accepted that there really is no failure if we learn something from the experience. Once I began to view things that way I quit beating myself up about what I used to think was poor choice making.
Every great inventor, musician, scientist, artist, writer, carpenter, builder...you name...they have admitted to having many "failures" along their road to success. At this stage of life I see every seeming failure, setback or disappointment as a new opportunity. A chance to learn something, do a course correction or whatever.
When we re-frame things and view failures from a different perspective it makes it easier to accept that life is a journey...not a destination. My final comments on failure is this: "Keep the lesson...and throw away the experience...then move on. If we all just keep on keeping on success is bound to come...no matter how many "failures' we have had in the past!
Fun chatting...thanks for the interesting post...my new friend.

You are most welcome...and thank you for your lovely, validating comments about the response.
We deal with people's views of failure a lot! It comes up in almost every private life coaching or seminar we present. Once we offer our views of failure people begin to see their past mistakes differently...and even embrace them as stepping stones to where they are today.
Everyone needs to do course corrections along the road of life. I have found that often when things do not work out it was for a greater outworking or lesson we may not have understood while in the midst of the seeming "failure."
I am glad you enjoyed my "perspective" on the topic..and I am happy you posted the discussion.
Great to be friends with you...and look forward to learning more about you and sharing ideas as we do.
All the best to you too!

As I mentioned to you in my PM...I am sorry that I mixed up the genders...I was thinking of Lakshimi when I mentioned "goddess." I remembered after posting that Ganesh is a God...and I do hope you forgive my oversight.
Thanks for being a friend and keeping in touch.

I know what you mean no matter who you are or what you do you everyone is faced with failure at some point in their life, and how people deal with failure usually varies from person to person, and when you fail at something it can cause you to think badly of yourself, and it can also cause you to slow down, and maybe even give up the things you love, and the things you love to do,I think failures are nothing but obstacles created to help you succeed, because failure at one thing can help you succeed at something else, and I have suffered several failures in my life, and I always try to not let them get me down, and if I fail at something I keep trying until I succeed for example if I am playing a video game, and I fail to beat a boss,I do not let it get me discouraged,I always keep trying even if it takes me a long time, until I finally beat the boss, and then the victory is even sweeter, and I always feel better about myself knowing I beat such a tough boss, and I think more people should look at failure in that light, and maybe less people would give up,and more people would keep trying until they succeed, and people always say when you fall off a horse you have to get right back on,which is very true, because if you fail at something you have to keep trying, and the only time you truly fail is when you stop trying, and you can not be called a failure at something unless you throw in the towel, and give up,because as long as you keep trying and keep giving it your all,you are a winner.

Whenever I fail in life, I assume the failure as a stepping stone to success. Each failure motivates me to achieve success. Because whenever I fail, many questions arise like "Why I can't be like the successful person?", "Why not to take actions to ensure success?", "Why others can do this and not me?"... These questions rise in me a motivated person and I become ready to act towards success. So I think everyone must face failures like this, instead of viewing it as a total failure, it must be viewed as a stepping stone to success.
Thanks

yes it is very hard to take the failure, some times when one concentrate and work very hard on one thing and for some reason if it doesn't end up in a way that he intended to be then the will cause for a great disappointment.I too occasionally get disappointed as i get fail in many things. But i try to motivated by the victory of others and try to achieve it sooner.

it is very hard to face failure specially when you gave your heart and soul for something. i give my self time to cry and time to analyze and also time to face another day. i am a single mom with four children and facing failures really makes me down. but once i cried it out already i have a new energy to stand up and try it again. i have my children to motivate me and to keep me going.

I just face it squarely. I accepted it even if it means breaking my heart and crying a lot. And then I go on with my life. Hoping to succeed in another time. I just keep on trying especially if it means a better future for me.

The fact that I'm here to post to this discussion proves that my way to deal with failure is to get back up again and move on. There are certain things I may give up on, but then again, not fully, because usually I will revamp my plan so that things will work. It's all about learning from your mistakes, and then improving yourself.

Hi Ganesh44,
Failing is not the end of the world, because you learn by your mistakes so you have to pick yourself up and start again, I myself have a lot of failings but I just work harder and that is all I can do.

Yes you're right we should learn from failiures and they are not end of life .
But my dear friend sometimes they are too many failiures than we can actually handle which makes our spirit to freeze.
But you're right we need work harder and harder , to come up in life .
Thanks for your response and such a nice information...

what's wrong with failures? its absolutely fine if one failed. it is a golden opportunity to set right what has gone wrong. failure is an opportunity to strengethen ourselves.
i agree failure affects all of us in various ways. it effects on our psyche is very devastating. but then it lies in our own interpretation of failure.
till end of 2007 i was a successful trader in futures market. since june 2008 i am beseiged by failure after failure. i cant afford to surrender to failure because it is stronger than me at this moment. i know it depresses and push you to a corner. but i am now slowly coming out of that. i learnt a lesson from it. come what may, i will face it head on. will not accept it as my fate or will not accept that god wanted me to suffer. no. i will take what is mine, no matter who wishes anything.
in life its the man who faced failures head on, walked away with the fortune. history is filled with such examples.

My dear friend I respect your fighting spirit .
But if there are few failiures one can fight back...... but sometimes there is a flood of failiures .
Than it becomes tough to sustain the growth in life .
But I really like your views that "Failiures are meant to strengthen us from inside out."
Head on fight with failiures is required as per you I'm registering your reply in my mind .
Thanks for your response and such a nice information...

Hi Ganesh
As you said failure is something that is hard to overcome. The most important thing is to understand what caused that particular failure? I often try not to dwell on things that aren't meant to be. I find the next big buzz and I learn from the mistakes of my previous failures. The mirror has become my best friend in that you can really talk to yourself...ok that does sound a bit loopy, but what you have to do is just say to yourself..."argh man...so what it didn't work out?" In truth what do you really loose when something does not work out? A bad marriage, a failing business, a crap employer...its all about putting things in perspective...and do something big to jolt yourself out of that depression...be pro life...

ohhh yes infact we need to learn out of our failiures ......yes but when I talk to mirror my image hardly replies ......and I dont want to see myself when I am hit by failiure in my life so I talk to myself most of times ....
yes we need to revamp somehow in such times analyzing them so that same may not get repeated
Thanks for your response and such a nice information...

Failure makes me feel down but it also makes me feel that I am only human. It gives me strength to perform better. I will just take it as a challenge and just cry for a moment and uses some of the defense mechanisms like sour graping or sweet lemon. Through my failures in life I can say I am a better person now than before.
