I don't really understand why my husband did this one...

The other day, we received some stuff in the mail that we ordered. It was household supplies and food stuff. I put all the food stuff away and then I set the things in a box that went up to the bathroom. I put the box by the stairs so that the next time I went upstairs I'd take the box with me. I had also gone to the store to buy pantyhose that day and I put the bag with them in it in the box. Well, when I went to go upstairs the box was gone - my husband took it up on his way - but the bag of pantyhose was still there. Now, he had to take the bag out of the box and put it aside. I have no clue why he did this because he knows that the pantyhose goes upstairs in the bedroom. Sometimes I have no clue what he's thinking....

It is quite possible that your husband thought he was doing you a favour, and keeping you from trying to find the pantyhose. He knows you left them on the stairs, and so he wanted to make sure they were there when you returned home.

I guess... Although since he didn't put anyhing away that was in the box, chances are I'd have found them in the box in the middle of the bathroom floor where he left it. I'd hope I would have found the pantyhose right there in the box, I almost didn't notice them where he'd left them because the bag is the same color as the futon he left it on. I also knew I'd left the bag in the box and would have expected to find them in the box still - unless he had put all that away... UGH!! Who knows???? Men are certainly a breed of their own :)

LOL! The problem could be with us women... we overanalyze too much, and try to figure logic in things that just can't possibly exist logically.

Men just do odd things but sometimes when it is something like that... where he had to make an extra effort to NOT do something... i out right ask him.
Sometimes he says i thought you wanted to keep it here...
How was i supposed to know you wanted to take such and such to such and such room
You didnt ask me to =P
mostly lame but at least you get it out of the way and in that matter you don't keep thinking about it

It is so funny though because we had talked about the bag and he put it on the door handle, then I put it in the box. He took it back out of the box and set it aside. I will have to ask him tonight after work, it is just too funny!

Ooh, on the door handle to start with. Hmmm. I hope you share his reasoning with us when you find out tonight.

I think that he and my hubby secretly communicate with each other to see who can drive us the craziest. Of course my husband can walk past stuff on the stairs all day and not move it. I love him anyway, but I am having to do some adapting here, either that or turn into a terrible nag.

I didn't even realize he knew my "secret code" for "I have to take this on my way in that direction". I mean, if something's at the top of the stairs to go into the garage, it's there until I take it down - could be days... I really don't know what possessed him to take the box... Well, other than when he moved the bag of pantyhose he noticed that there was deoderant in the box - which he needs!!!

Sometimes I think my husband does odd stuff like that in order for me to notice that he did something good. Does that make sense?..... like if he took it upstairs and put all things away, I might forget it needed to be done.
I often have no idea what he is thinking but I'm just glad that he does.

I do think he was trying to show me how he "helps" since he never takes the stuff that needsd to go up or down stairs. But why he went to the extra effort of moving the panty hose bag I will have to find out....

Yuck!!!!! He is not touching something that belongs to a girl. LOL. I had a good laugh on this one because it sounds like something my husband would do. He would say "They are yours and I did not know what you wanted to do with them" At least they did not end up in the trash!!!!!!!!

Oh that sounds nice being able to shop for those things and have them delivered to your front door. As for the husband....who knows why they do what they do. That is funny, as you say, he had to look and know what was in the bag and should have left it in the box to go upstairs. But I am more surprised that the box was even taken upstairs!!!! If we had stairs and had something to go up there I can't see my husband doing it on his own without me having to ask him to do it. haha

Hey, I was shocked that he took it up too! He's never done that before!!! Actually, one of our boxes came the day before and the box was sitting there for a day before he even noticed it - I tend to forget it sometimes when I walk by.
Hey, I tell ya, if you're seriously interested in having your stuff delivered to you - at a much better price and a better quality - check out the wellness link on my profile. That will give you a very general idea of what they offer and if you like, I can even tell you how to become a member so you can get the great deals - and home delivery - all the time. We absolutely love it!

lol..welcome to the world of husbands!!
My husband does a lot of such things that I can't even jot them down. And he gets mad at me when I point them out. He says...'Instead of appreciating the fact that I did something good, you just keep pointing out what I didn't do!'.
So, I've just given up on him and try not to notice such lapses on his part.
I realized that husbands don't think....so I can't wonder what he's thinking.

Good Lord! You are lucky he took the box up at all. I put things on the stairs for them to go up all the time and every member of my household will just walk right by. They never, EVER take anything up they know is intended to go up there. Heck, they will walk by a scrap of paper lying on the floor. I could only guess that he may have known where to put the things that were in the box when they went upstairs, but not the stuff in the bag, so left it for you to put away. I am sure that is why my family members don't take anything up. Occasionally they will take the basket of clean laundry up, but they just take it from the bottom of the stairs and put it at the top of the stairs. It is up to me to put it away.

I have never seen my husband take something up or down stairs that was waiting to go on my next time through. I have no idea why he took it up now or why he went out of his way to take the bag out of the box first. And all he did was set the box in the bathroom, he didn't put any of it away.... Mens minds are just a beast of their own :)

I have come to realize in my life that you can NEVER have a clue as to what men are thinking. My hubby has done some really weird stuff before. I learned a long time ago to never let him go grocery shopping. After many trips of him getting 15 boxes of cereal (because it was sale) but then not getting link or 5 cans of spaghetti sauce and no pasta , I have been the one to do the shopping!!

That would be too much fun. Sometimes the stuff they do to help actually causes more work. There are plenty of things around here that my husband takes care of and I don't touch them at all.

Maybe he thought that you wanted to do something else with them, or that you needed to try them on, so therefore he took them out? I don't know, or maybe he didn't want to be seen carrying pantyhose upstairs? I think it's quite odd to be honest. Men will be men, I guess we'll never understand them.

Seems like a good question reasonable at least. Only hing I can say in his defense is maybe he or was hoping you might want to do something else with them. Like check the size or model them etc. DId you ask him? Curious action? hehehlol :)

Ah,men! Who knows why they do what they do! I won't even try to guess why he did that. Did you end up asking him? I'd be interested to delve into a man's thinking!

I so forgot to ask him last night. I'll ask him later today, and he'll most likely get an attitude with me because he was trying to help and now I'm critisizing him... Sometimes it's just easier for us to wonder why...

Quite frankly I find the female mind quite illogical. Why do you think he can read your mind? He probably has enough trouble keeping his own thoughts in order without trying to figure out yours. Besides, think back now, how often have you given him grief about moving your stuff so now you cannot find it. He probably left it there so he would not be in the doghouse again, but finds himself in the doghouse anyways.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I was so waiting for this kind of response. Everyone else was "sticking up for me". You are so right that he does CONSTANTLY move my stuff around and then it takes me hours to find it.
Normally he doesn't mess with my stuff, and he NEVER takes the things up or down stairs when I have them sitting there. What was so funny was that we were talking about the pantyhose - he even moved them from the kitchen to the door handle on the stairs. When I put them in the box - to remind myself that the box needed to go too - I was kinda puzzled as to why he took them OUT of the box and didn't take them up. He didn't put anything in the box away, but just took it up on his way, after taking the bag out of it, when he already knew the bag had to go up too. I just think it's kinda funny that he didn't know anything about the box and that's the only thing he took. He musta been way tired that night!!!
Sure does keep life interesting!!!

Maybe he thought you were going to use it since it's all-new and all and wouldn't want to mess with where you put it. Hehehe..
In our household, I don't like people moving my things. Especially if they know I'm doing something. It's like, I remember it exactly where it is and if anyone moves it, then I'd go use more time looking for them. So, here, they all know that if I'm doing something, it's better to leave things be so that I'd know exactly where it is.
Maybe he's thinking that way, that since you were running up and down the stairs, then you'd probably want to be the one to pick up that pantyhose because it's yours and you bought it for something he didn't know and would rather than you be the one to carry it up or something.
You know how guys would like to be of help but are confused over what we want, you know?
So, let the man some slack for not thinking the way you did today.

I can definitely see your point - a bit... I mean, the bathroom is where all the stuff in the box went and the bedroom is where the panthose goes... But they're connected, right beside each other... Then I still had to put the stuff away that was in the box, he just laid it in the middle of the bathroom floor. Strange.....

Hey reiny! That is kind of odd! What did he have to say about
that? Does he have a problem bringing the pantyhose upstairs?
Men are weird about things sometimes. I don't know why. I
know that there are times that my boyfriend is strange about
certain items and I have no clue why. All of a sudden he
becomes shy about womens items? He does my laundry, but won't
put my underwear if it is still wet when it comes out of the
dryer on the clothes line at home. I asked him why and he just
looks at me. He's too shy to touch them? He's not too shy
to touch them when their on me! Like I said, men are too weird!

Oh, isn't that so funny!!!! "He's not too shy to touch them when their on me!"
I have to ask my husband tomorrow, I totally forgot about it tonight. I don't think he's shy about touching the pantyhose bag because he took it from the kitchen to the door handle by the stairs. I moved it into the box so I wouldn't forget it when I took the box up. He then took it out of the box, and laid it aside and only took the box up. Men are just a bit too weird sometimes!!!
