What's your Typing Speed Also.......???

Hi,my typing speed for laptop and desktop would be 60-65wpm. I guess I have developed my typing skill during my first work as a document analyst. Because we are paid according to the volume of documents we analyzed. So we have to be conscious of our productivity/speed in keying those information to the in house program. And until now I consider this as one of my strengths when applying for a bpo position.

On laptop I dont know, but on desktop my speed is 52wpm...

Mine is around 90 wpm. Why and how? I've been typing all my life. I first started off on a manual typewriter. Then at my second job, we had electric typewriters for some time and then shifted to electronic ones. In a couple of years, we had dedicated Word Processors. And hence moved on. I think I might be able to type over 100 wpm, but I'm stating what I'm sure.

I think my typing speed is...slow. Maybe 25 wpm on a desktop. I don't know how to use the home row.

I just now took up the type racer test My speed was 42 WPM it gave the result as accuracy id 98.7% I really love to see people who type fast. Shud definitely improve my speed. I guess I can make it through practise!! Cheers

Im not a fast typer period. Although, I can type fast if theres no order that words should be in a complete sentence.. To make this short and sweet if what im typing has to make sense or not.

I think that's about normal. I type about 75 - 80 WPM on a standard keyboard on a laptop I'm not sure, but boy do I miss my laptop (it was stolen.) My boyfriend is a Graphic Designer and types @ 20 WPM so you are way ahead of him.

I don't type on the laptop - I have a separate keyboard that I plug into it because I hate typing on those small keys! On my regular ergonomic keyboard, I type about 85 words per minute - but I've been typing for a very long time!

If that's normal spped that makes me very happy as I have typing speed of about 36 WPM which isn't too far away from yours. I know what you mean about typing on laptops though my speed does drop a little when I use one of those.

I use one hand to type.(yeah dont laugh) I am ok at it though. Probably around 40 wpm. You are ok with 40 wpm. That is good. Good job you have also. I like making images animated, only as a hobby. I have taught myself but would love to do this as a job. Well nice day to you also. I am only managing around 10wpm as I spilt water on my laptop and the keys are all stuck or something. Hopefully getting it opened today and cleaned properly. At least it still works.

um, I actually don't know that. I never have counted the amount of words I write in a minute because I never had to count them. But I do thin think that I am typing fast enough. I do make mistakes sometimes but it isn't exactly that bad. It do takes sometimes longer for me to type something because I might be thinking about what to type or because I usually end up changing parts of a sentence so that it sounds better. I am probably typing around 40~60 words per minute. Maybe more if I am typing while knowing what I want to type instead of typing while thinking about what to type. Anyway, I am not really bothered by my typing speed. Only of the typos I do sometimes.
