I am waiting for an important phone call and they are late.

As most of my friends know I am involved in an business adventure. Well the company is in another state. All of our communications have been by email, and the phone. They set up a phone meeting and I make sure the phone is clear and we talk for sometimes up to an hour until we all our business done.
We scheduled a meeting today and the guy told me he would be a little late. Now he is 39 minutes late. The business adventure is a big deal for me and I am so anxious on how things are going I am pins and needles. I have loads to do today and one is taking a shower then get going with my stuff. He is pushing back my schedule and I am getting anxious.
I guess I need to get up and just take the phone with me so I can hear it ring. I also have trouble getting to the phone before the answering machine picks it up. So I guess I will put the phone in my pocket and start doing what I need to do and make him wait till I can come back to my office so I can make notes.
How do you handle when you do not get a phone call you are expecting? Do you get anxious?

Yeah, I think I remember reading a little bit about it lately. I do hope that you are able to get with him tomorrow and find out what the deal it. It just sounds a bit fishy to me, but something could have come up that's prevented him from getting back to you. I hope it all turns out ok for you!

I am trying to give him the benifit of the doubt and wondering if he got sick or had an emergency. I sure hope he is OK. I do wish he would at least write me and let me know he was busy and would call me later.

Yes it is heavy on my mind. I did call him yesterday and have not head from him as of yet. I did email him and no response. I do not know if he is OK or just a jerk. He did do this once before so this is his MO.
I will have to talk to him and let him know when he does not communicate with me what it does to me, how it brings my anxiety level up.

It has been a long time since such a thing happened to me... but there are times when i am expecting and important email... and since i do not have internet connection at home... i use my cell phone to check my email every now and then... and before i realized it... i was already charged a lot by my line provider...

I have internet connection in the office... and most of the time i just wait for my boss to give me work or orders... but just last week... i was able to access the internet at home through wifi... the owner of my apartment building gave me permission... but i will pay them 250 pesos (less than $5) a month... and that is a great deal

less than 5 dollars a month is a good deal but it depends on how much you get paid at work and what you can afford. I am glad you can get on the internet at work and you are my friend.

Oh no how horrible. How do you do mylot? Do you go to someone's home or to an internet bar?
I love my internet connection at home and my home computer. I would miss them both if I did not have them.

No he has not gotten in touch with me. I will be calling him tomorrow since today is a holiday. He did not even email me. He does have my email address and my cell phone number. He has used the excuse before that my phone was busy but he can always use my cell phone.

I do get anxious, but like you, I have learned to go ahead and busy myself with other things, so I don't go crazy. I get the most anxious when I am late. I know how I feel when people keep me waiting, so I do not like to keep others waiting. I hope you get that phone call real soon.

Nope no phone call today. I will be calling him on Wednesday to see what the heck is going on. I did email him but have not checked the other email address to see if he responded to that.

Hey tea! I am the same way! I hate waiting for a phone call!
I have no patience! I get very nervous and fidgetity and I
do the same thing as you! I put the phone it my pocket and
start doing the things I need to do! It is so annoying when
you are expecting an important phone call and it is late and
you have to wait for it. I am always afraid to get into the
shower because I am afraid that is when the phone will ring!
I do hope that you get you phone call soon and can get the
things done that you need to do. It really is so stressful!

What I was most anxious about is to hear about the project. It gave them a large slug of money and I wanted to know how what they where doing with it.

He still has not gotten in touch with me. I am very frustrated and have had company so I have not had the time to call him. I did email him and he has not even emailed me. what a worm.
