I saw the movie Eragon recently. The hero has a dragon as his best friend and pet. together they are very strong and eragon gets to ride the dragon into the skies. i would love to have such a pet in real life.i wish it could happen.
what do you think??

I would love the have a dragon as a friend and pet.I saw the movie as well it was a great movie worth watch over and over again.I love dragons always have.

Theres just something about them.Imagine sitting on the back of this powerful creature as you feel the energy and power of this magical creature between your legs as you and your pet fly over the land with no worries.The peace and love between u and your dragon.Can you feel his wings beating upward and downward as your legs are wrapped around his neck.The rush the laughter of child hood excaping from you.As you reach down and give your dragon a loving hug.Feel his heart beat pick up as he returns the love... can you feel and see this.i can.

In an alternate mythical world, Id definitely love to have one. Though, there really might be a time when dragons did exist. There would be different 'rules' or 'guidelines' in taking care of one. But then again, if the dragons are like the ones in Eragon, like talking, thinking beings, then it would be more of a friendship rather than a pet-master relationship.
Yeah, it would definitely be nice.

Its sure dragons do exist in our imaginations. But, I don't think they really existed. I mean, how could such fire breathing giants exist without destroying each other. And if they existed they would not be talking. Else, what was the need to evolve humans. what do you opine.

Well thought of theory buddy. That means, there were war between dragons too. may be there were good and bad ones even among them. Nice stuff for a story. those fossils you are talking of, I have read about them too. Anyways, have a great day.

That's just it actually. They were a danger to all and to each other that they ultimately became nonexistent. Of course Im not sure that they did exist but there have been archeological findings that there are fossils of reptiles that had dragon-like features. They still cannot give a definite conclusion since the fossils are still incomplete. But whether they really existed or not, they still do exist in folklore and in our imaginations.^_^

Oh yeah I would love to have a dragon as a friend and a pet. To ride and see the vast sky...But I will have to get a big and I mean a really big castle in a wide forest...and I fireman post near it. OK to be more serious I would love, ride and even help others. i've seen the movie too, loved it. But do you know that there are some books teaching you how to raise a baby dragon? OK the instructions we have now we only need an egg from a dragon and a lot of Food supplies, speaking of which I think that we first need to make our dragons vegetarians...or cooked meat (from animals like chicken, fish, cow or pork)cause I don't like to see them chewing something or somebody alive.

That's really funny. If a dragon sneezes he would be indeed burning down places. You had a story to share i remember. Why don't you start from how you got to befriend the dragon pet. It will be fun to read it. Anyways, you are always welcome. Have a great day.

Hey we could play a little game.If you noticed i started a story.Hmm cant guess what i do lol.Any way we could start a dragon story and each person can add to it keep it going see how far it goes and how many people join the fun.Have to write a few sentences or a short paragrah.But it has to be a story line see where our imaf=ginations go? wanna??

If that's so I wish you find a dragon egg while digging in your garden. But do take care you get a dragon keeping licence...haha. It won't be too easy riding it. So be careful about it. And do take some tips from sunchild here. He's an expert. And have a great day buddy.

First of all thank you for the response. now what you say may be true, but it is also not feasible to have such pets. Cause they would be simply too expensive. And neither do they they exist, to be real. Its just imaginations that we are talking of. So, it would be very nice of you if you could share some of your imaginations. Have a good day.

well that would be some extra optimistic thought. but it is not bad to be that optimistic about having a dragon as your pet. you know that i not going to happen but at the same time i would like to say that i would be definitely happy to have a dragon as my pet. to be frank and true...... you would have a lot of options at having such an pet. on one hand you will get a dangerous pet so that all will fear you as they will fear the dragon and on the other hand you will get a fast mode of travel. no need of any fuels.... it will supply them .... help you in cooking and burning of course!

Sounds like you wish to bully your friends using your pet dragon...haha. one really gets to have such advantages. But the major disadvantage is when the dragon grows up. Then you will really need a large house to keep it. Good day to you.

That seems to be a nice proposition. And why not if I get one obedient one. And if you have fire arrangements at your hand then why not. It would certainly give you a nice time both on the land and the on the sky as you will be able to fly with that. And then you can burn anything that you like with that. But it would be fine if it finds its food of its own and certainly it should not eat up your neighbors. HA! Well it was real fun responding to your discussion. Have a nice pet!

If I could have a little one, like the size of a house cat or smaller, then maybe, but anything bigger than that no. Especially if it breathed fire. That sounds cool, but in real life it would cause a lot more problems than it would be worth.

Ha ha...in that case you will need to train your dragon from the puppy stage. Only then there is a chance you won't get burnt. Maybe, your enemies will. But, in case it spits fire on you just remember your first aids. Ha...
