When i was at college i had to cut open frogs and toads as a part of my science practicals. the poor animals couldn't complain when they were made anaesthesized with chloroform and cut open on a wax tray. i felt bad. but then it was compulsory for every student to cut them.
One of my friends had once told they prepare dishes out of frog legs at his place. i just complain at the very idea of it.
What do you think about this?

It is part of a learning process.I also had to do practicals by dissecting frogs in my college days.I felt sorry for that too,but you can't help yourself. You have to do this unless can't pass your examination.Only thing you can do is just ignore this till your exams are over.

haha...thank you for the response. i don't have to dissect frogs any more now. instead i had to dissect cadavers after my college.that was more disgusting i felt. but then, it's past too.
have a good day.

In days gone by medical students would use a fresh corpse for a learning tool.

i Have been through the same formalities in my science classes. As it is we had to dissect those frogs to learn the anatomy & physiology. As far as i view it its valid to an extent as the real practical knowledge comes from real practical experiments. Some one had to sacrifice something......either we on our knowledge or the frogs on their life. As selfish humans we were going for the second option.
