when i was at work, i didnt get bored much because it was a busy office, but i hopped onto mylot as well when i got a chance.
hope things pick up for you soon!

If i were you i would start looking for a new job. As this global money crunch grows and it effects your company its jobs with no tasks that will be cut first. Look now before its to late. Those that don't provide value to the company don't stay long. If you feel you can bring value to your company in another spot get there quick.

you do have a point there my friend, but the only reason i'm not given my tasks yet is because the website of the account that's assigned to me is not operational yet...my boss asked me to enjoy the moment while it lasts...hopefully, things get better next week...am excited to actually start doing my job...thanks so much for your insight!

Depending on what your title is, I think I would walk around and see if I can help others. There must be something that you can do. I bet someone forgot about you or doesn't know that you don't have an assignment. I am sure the shareholders would not be happy knowing they are paying someone to sit around being bored.
Here's what I would do, if they don't have an assignment for you yet, just look and see who sees overwhelmed. Then ask if there is anything you can do to help. They will greatly appreciate it, and you will make a friend in the long run.
You own supervisor, will notice also and that will put a feather in your cap for the future. It is great to be a team player, even if no one asks. Good luck to you and your new capacity. Have a great day!

i totally agree with you and i really appreciate the insight...but i've already done that..i've asked my coworkers if there was anything that i could do and all that...but we each have our own tasks because we handle corporate accounts...my account's website has not yet gone live...there have been some techival problems and they're still trying to fix it...my boss told me to sit back, relax and enjoy the moment while it lasts....it's alright really, but i'm not used to this, and i feel so awkward, but then again....what can i do?...
