Gamblers..In what age did you start gambling?

i don't gamble, but my father does. he so love horse racing and i hate it whenever he gambles. sadly, we can't stop him from doing so because he has been gambling since 17 years old--and he is now 57.

I like to gamble a little. My favorite thing to do is go to the sports book area of a casino, and bet on the horse races. I didn't start betting on horses until I was about 30 years old. I only have a chance to do it once and a while, maybe twice a year. But I really enjoy it when I do. The first time I was ever even in a casino was when I was 26 years of age. It was on one of the Cruise ships that sails from Florida to the Bahamas. That would have been the first time I gambled. I played the nickel slots and won fifty dollars, but kept on playing and ended up losing most of it. Should have known to quit while I was ahead. I think that experience put a bad taste in my mouth for slot machines, because I haven't played them much since. Thanks for starting this discussion, I hope you have a great day!
